Deluxe format with 6 extra tracks and a live DVD. Christine and the Queens is Nantes-born Heloïse Letissier. Moving to London to study in 2010, Letissier instead found herself drawn to the art and theatre underworld of Soho, where she met the drag queens of Madame JoJo's who inadvertently helped birth Christine and the Queens. The following year she released the first of a series of three EPs, each one building praise and demand for her utterly individual brand of pop. Chaleur Humaine, her French-language debut album produced by Ash Workman (Metronomy) with multi-instrumentalist brothers Michael Lovett and Gabriel Stebbing, arrived in 2014 and has already gone more than five-times platinum to propel Letissier - named Female Artist of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique earlier this year - to phenomenon status in her homeland. Already coveted by those in the know, last year Christine and the Queens took a step further into the international spotlight with a number of high profile European shows and scene-stealing performances at SXSW, a major 16-date North American run with Marina and The Diamonds and a solo sold-out headline show at New York's Webster Hall. She capped a stunning year by joining one of her all time heroes Madonna on stage in Paris last week. She released her debut, self-titled UK EP in November and now Chaleur Humaine makes it's long-awaited UK debut. The album features EP tracks Jonathan (featuring Perfume Genius) and No Harm Is Done (featuring Tunji Ige), and has been completely reworked for it's UK release, featuring all-new English versions of French runaway hits Saint Claude and Christine, amongst others.

There's absolutely nothing to dislike here
I already had the original release of "Chaleur Humaine" and decided I had to hear this expanded CD/DVD combo. For me, "Chaleur Humaine" is still her best album (though "Chris" is tres good), and this special version with extra tracks is even better. The addition of the excellent DVD (alone worth the price of admission) is icing on the whole wonderful cake. Man, she can dance! I've always admired performers who can make pop music "interesting" (in contrast to the lowest common dreck), and Héloïse Letissier is the best there is at the moment. Her message is a big bonus to some of the best pop music being made today. Production, arrangements, lyrics, the musicians—there's absolutely nothing to dislike about "Chaleur Humaine."

Awesome album worth extra for the imported version!
Haven't heard a new artist with maturity of sound and an artistic influence combined in quite a few years. Everyone from the French student to the audiophile can benefit from this recording. This album from Christine and the Queens is a once in genre stand out performance, and I only hope the group brings the same amount of energy and creativity in coming albums! I'm very thrilled with the combination of melody and sounds, instrumentation and musical celebration. This album is an all around success for me, on so many levels. The import brings a few french only versions of their best selection, and is worth listening to over and over. Thanks to this group of highly talented musicians, and whoever brought them to the rest of us as an incredible gift on so many levels! In the classic rating; Two thumbs, way up.

Stunning Mélange of Music, Dance and Art
stunning! pared down and rhythmic with beautiful melodies. Héloïse Letissier is so different since, to me, she comes from being "an artist" first and a popMusician second. her french sensibility/heritage is beautifully woven into her work. prefect album for (slow, sinuous) dancing, late night listening, and in the car ... i have even put it on and "done nothing" ... except listen. :)

The C.D. does Not play on my Mac air. So that's why I bought it, to play on my computer. Why, not sure, played all my other C.D.s with no problem. Just this on my Mac does not read. very disappointing.

Absolutely brilliant album and DVD
She is simply amazing and there's no filler on the album it simply one of the best albums of the past few years for me. The live show in Lille France is absolutely sublime, wow wow wow and I'm so pleased to be able to see her perform later this year in the UK.

Better audio quality so worth buying again for that alone..
Great album to start with and the extra tracks are a nice welcome, especially in French. Haven't seen the DVD yet but I'm pleased to report that the audio quality is also unexpectedly better than the previous release. It sounds richer and more detailed with vocals especially clearer and defined.

Brilliant Music
This is a brilliant compilation, just love every single song on the cd. Bought this particular de luxe version as it came with extra tracks and a DVD of a recent concert. The vibe on this Cd very much reminds me of a modern day 1980's style of music. Really pleased to have bought this CD.
