I dont have 2 sinks in my kitchen just 1 with the grbage disposal. Will it still work if I just put it in the disposal?

Sani Sticks are made too stay whole when they are lodged in the sink drain trap. This gives them a longer working life in the drain. Sticks that are brittle break into small pieces and quickly get flushed away into the sewer system becoming useless. Food sticks to the disposal side causing bacteria and odors. The food needs to be cleaned. Sani Sticks aren't made for this task. I would point you to a Consumer Reports May 23, 2020 article by Perry Santanachote on cleaning the disposal with common household items. I hope this helps.

how long does it actually last in the p trap? i saw it intact after 12 hours, but around 24 hours in, it seems to have dissolved completely.

I have used these sticks for a very long time. I have found that they last for about a month, but the benefits are longer lasting. Once the drain starts to smell again I just drop in another stick. If your sink is not draining well use two.

Does this have chemicals that kill good bacteria that septic tanks need?
