Waste King Garbage Disposal Dishwasher Connector Kit - 1023 , Black

I had water in front of the cabinets. After removing everything, I was able to see this dishwasher hose to garbage disposer rubber connection had a rip in it. This one matches the brand name of my disposer, but I also bought a near identical part in another brand just to make sure I could get it sealed up. This part worked fine. I taped the other to the back wall of the cabinet so it will be handy when this one wears out in a few years.

We had a water leak I couldn't pin down ... I found an old one of these with a hole in it under the sink. I was skeptical of getting a second one of these (the first one was put in before I owned the house) fearing this was a cheap stopgap. But it was easy to install, resolved the leak full, and a couple months later everything is working great.

I looked at a lot of ways to fix my problem of tube end mismatch. This device was a 2 minute fix and I didn’t need to drill a bigger hole to run the tube. My Only complaint, it should be more ridged. It bends too easily in the middle. If you are not careful, you can pinch off the water flow. Make sure your line is in a perfect alignment before tightening the clamps.

I hired a contractor to install my cabinets and countertops, and in the process they threw out all of the parts to my disposal and sink. Huge d'oh! I bought this part to replace the connector between my dishwasher discharge hose and my disposal. I chose it because the clamps are tightened by screws - the user can tighten or loosen them depending on need. It was very easy to install. You can trim it to fit different sized hoses - I had to cut it down by one size. Use one clamp to secure the connector to the disposal, cut and trim the other end to the size that fits the dishwasher hose, then use the second clamp to secure the connector to the dishwasher hose, test for leaks, and you're in business! I had a slight leak after my first try but was able to fix it by re-positioning the dishwasher hose and re-tightening the clamp. If I can do it, you can do it!

I bought the 1HP Waste King disposer here on Amazon - Amazon said I needed this part too. What do I know, I'm not a plumber. I looked under the sink, said to self (after looking online at the disposer's photos) "yea, maybe the will need that" so I got it. I'm not a plumber, plus I'm a 67-year old chronic pain patient, so I'm a.) not a plumber - I worked on aircraft and b.) not gonna git under the sink and become one at my age and with my pain. So I hired a local guy, he installed it and never needed this piece. At least Amazon let me return it. Overall rating of 3 because I had to go thru the hassle of getting it (upon Amazon's recommendation) and then driving to the UPS store to return it. I gave it 3-stars on durability because it's just a piece of soft, un-reinforced rubber, so it might not last long if you did have to use it.

Before I replaced my old garburator I checked the original dishwasher adaptor / connector. It was rock hard and had lost all of its flexibility. I ordered this new Universal Dishwasher Connector Kit along with my new Waste King garburator and I am glad I did. The old one was so dry and hard that it could not be used...it actually cracked a bit when I removed it from the old garburator. If you are replacing your garburator, consider a new dishwasher adaptor too!

Changing my dishwasher and the drain hose attachment was bigger than the drain under the sink. This rubber piece with 3 different diameter solved it out quickly. I simply cut the biggest part, slide it into the drain hose end and the fit was perfect 👌 Easy breezy! Worth the $20.

Had to cut a piece off, works well, no leaks after 2 months.
