High quality durable jack stands!
I have been working on cars for decades. I have had them all from cheap Craftsmans to US Jack brand jack stands. These ESCO jack stands are the best I've had so far! It feels sturdy and stable regardless if they're holding up a Corolla or a Suburban. I trust my life with these jack stands. As others have stated, you need to jack up your car higher than normal with these. I have no problem jacking up the cars higher to get these to fit. If you don't want to do this, I'd suggest purchasing the "Shorty" low-profile version.

Amazing jack stand!!!
These are solid stands. Top cushion holds nicely and no wear on the rubbers after 4 uses. They stand strong with the 3-leg structure. Very safe to use. I did maintenance on my Subaru BRZ which is low in stock. The min height of these jacks are 13,2 inches so I had to jack the car a little. But no problems. So I can easily use these stands for any low or high standing car. For sport cars I also consider the ESCO low (10499) with the min hight of 11 inches. Both will work great. Worth every penny.

Holds my Porsche 987 very well.
I used them to change the oil on my Porsche 987.1 and they worked very well. I put them on the spots on both sides near the rear of the car, behind the transmission mount and the car didn't move at all the whole time. They were very easy to setup and I like the locking pin. The rubber also really helps to keep the car from being damaged. The stands also sat flat so there wasn't any sort of rocking.

Great for SUV's and Trucks -- Too tall for most cars
This standard jack height is to high for my 2009 Honda Accord pinch welds but I measured before purchasing so it wasn't a surprise. I was able to use them under the car on the body supports after removing the pin and allowing the jack to rest at its lowest point (also removing the rubber rest at the top). The standard work perfect on our Honda Pilot and GMC Sierra 1500. If you are planning to use these jacks on a car's pinch welds, I'd recommend the low profile version otherwise for SUV or Truck the standard work just fine. The reason I choose these stands is simple, "Build Quality". If I'm going to crawl under a car, truck or suv and trust my life to them... these are the stands I trust and worth the money. Welds and material are excellent and the support of 6,000 pounds / jack shows the quality. If they would consolidate both designs that would work for both cars, SUVs and Trucks, that would be the perfect jack stand. I'm sure this could easily be designed but then you couldn't sell as many jack stands.

Disappointing
I purchased the Low profile #10499 set in 2019 and they have been amazing. Now I needed taller jack stands so I purchased the #10498 set, and I'm disappointed in the quality of the rubber pads. My older Esco jack stand pads feel high quality and squishy, these newer ones are terrible. They feel hard, low quality, and are very hard to install on the jack stand. As you can see from the pictures, the first time I used them all 4 pads split into two pieces. This damaged the factory undercoating on the pinch welds and slightly bent them. The quality of the Jack stand is great, but the only con is the trash rubber pads the come with them.

All 4 were same height.
After reading some of the negative reviews regarding irregular heights and "bad welds", I reluctantly took a chance and bought 2 pairs of these expensive jack stands. That's a total of 4 jack stands. I checked all 4 for even height by lining them up in a row and using a 4 foot long level. All four were exactly level! I checked them on 2 different height settings. That was nice! One must note that the jack stands have 2 holes in each column, so you have to make sure you put the pin through one of the 2 holes consistently for each stand. Also, I am not a welder, but the welds appeared to be good, and didn't have any gaps in them. These stands with their flat rubber pads are designed to hold up flat surfaces, like truck frames and SUV frames (body on frame vehicles). They are not intended for pinch welds, like unibodies. That will obviously split the rubber pads, like cutting them with a knife. So, the detractors who complain of the pads splitting are probably using them incorrectly on the wrong type of vehicle surface. I would buy these stands again. The precision was consistent on the 4 stands I bought. 5 stars!
