Charming book with lovely humor
One of my kids' favorite books. One of mine, too, as a parent always reading it to them! Charming, sweet, funny, and the kind of book I always wish I could read for the first time again, when I didn't know where it was going. Worth adding to any kid's library.

This is a fun, humorous, lively tale that will delight young, imaginative children
Snow, snow, snow! It was a great time of year for the Beast when it covered the the ground. It was Beast’s tradition to help “the mountain villagers to put on a festival to celebrate” the first snow. Beast was all dressed up with his red hat, gloves, and red and white scarf (which looked great against his black fur). Off he headed to the tool shed to gather up his tools only to find something was missing ... the tools. Down the mountain he went, this way and that, that way and this. “We’ll never build our festival now,” a man shouted. “It must be the work of that abominable Snow Beast.”Something had to be done and Beast was off to find the “mysterious monster” and get back those tools. Mmmmmm! There were some very unusual footprints in the snow and he began to follow them “as the snow got deeper and deeper and deeper until finally he was stuck.” Big time. Beast dug his way around the bear, the fox, the bunny, and the deer until he got out. Mmmmmm! At the end of those unusual footprints there was none other that the Snow Beast holding all of those missing tools. “Stop, thief!,” Beast shouted, but he was off. If Beast wasn’t able to catch that abominable Snow Beast, how could they have their festival? This is a fun, humorous tale that will delight young, imaginative children. Of course after Beast spots the Snow Beast the wild ‘n wacky chase is on. The artwork is colorful, eye-popping, and loads of fun, something that makes this tale a page-turner. In addition to the detailed chase scenes, I loved looking at Snow Beast’s most unusual underground iceberg home. The artwork is so nicely detailed it could almost be a wordless one. The author / illustrator, Chris Judge, is the winner of the Irish Children’s Book prize. A new author to many, but a tale with a mischievous abominable Snow Beast children will fall in love with. This book courtesy of the publisher.

Fun book!
We checked this book out from the library & my 5 y/o son loved it!! We read it 100 times! When I searched Amazon for others in the series, I noticed this book only had 1 review. Because we enjoyed it so much, I thought I would write one of my own. Now off to find the others!

Great, but not as good as The lonely Beast.
