Delilah Green Doesn't Care (A Bright Falls Novel) Review: The best sapphic romance I’ve ever read - I have been searching for a wlw story that I love. And of the many I’ve read recently, this one takes the cake. There’s a melancholy to the characters - their history and familial dynamics that I could feel all the way to my soul. As much as I was rooting for Claire and Delilah, it was Delilah’s relationship with her sister that drove much of this story. I spent much of this time yearning for them to have it out. And loving that about it. Everything about this felt raw and real and visceral to me. As soon as I finished reading it, I looked up fanfiction. Because I need more of Delilah Green and Claire Sutherland in my life. Their love is beautiful and I think I felt seen by them too. Especially as the lonely, weird kid who escaped into TV shows growing up and just wanted people to see her and love her. And now as an adult exploring my sexuality for the first time, I feel like this book healed a small part of me. This book destroyed me. It was utterly perfect. I’m gonna go keep crying about it now Review: Delightful! - I loved this! I was worried about it living up to my expectations as it had a lot of hype, but I needn’t have worried. The characters were delightful & just felt so real right from the start. Delilah & Claire had a meet-cute that had me grinning from ear to ear! I thought they made an adorable couple - they just felt like they had an ease about them, like they had been together for a while instead of having a time limit on a hook up. I enjoyed seeing the development of their feelings & those steamy scenes (fans self)! I also liked the backstory in this. The drama & resentments between Delilah and Astrid were integrated well into the story, and I really liked how this was resolved. This was an entertaining read that I could have happily read in one sitting. I’m looking forward to Astrid’s story!

Love, love, love
Tattooed, sassy, curly-haired photographer with unresolved childhood trauma meets curvaceous, glasses-wearing, caring single mom bookstore owner with abandonment issues? SIGN ME UP. Seriously, though, I’ve been wanting to read this series for a while, but in order, so I’ve been patiently waiting my turn. It finally came up on Libby and it did not disappoint. Witty banter? Check. Fabulous and distinct characters? Check. Opening up and processing old hurts in (mostly) healthy ways? Check. Chemistry and hot sex? Check. I loved seeing how Delilah and Claire’s connection evolved, getting glimpses of their childhood/teen interactions and watching them open up to each other while reconnecting as adults. Seeing the relationship between Delilah and Astrid come to a head and the two of them realizing the role they’ve each played in their current situation felt so natural, and I hope to see their bond as sisters develop even more in the next installment. Iris is hilarious and so loyal to Claire and Astrid, and her acceptance of and connection with Delilah as they move through the story really rounds everything out.

Fabulous coming home romance you don’t want to miss
Ever have that moment where you enjoyed a book so much but when you get down to writing that review - all you can say is “I really really liked this book - so umm.. yeah go read it too”. Well that was me 4 days ago after reading “Delilah Green Doesn’t Care” by Ashley Herring Blake. I think my mind has now sufficiently calmed down that I can express coherent thoughts…maybe. No spoilers but the book essentially follows Delilah who has returned to her hometown to photograph her step sisters’ (Astrid) wedding and finds herself engulfed in the drama with a cast of characters, whom she wants nothing to do with…well with exception of Claire. Okay so this book is funny - lots of hijinks with uptight personalities with whom Delilah likes to mess with, douche-y fiancés, irresponsible exes, and the other bff(Astrid’s) Iris who is adorably blunt to a fault. The romance between Ashley and Claire is just amazing - chemistry, sparks it’s all there and even though it happens quickly it feels organic and meant to be (sigh)🥰. . But what made this book memorable was how it expertly managed to pivot me through a myriad of emotions between humor and pain at the turn of a page and it was just 😘. I was firmly in Delilah’s camp rooting for her, mainly because I completely related to that feeling of saying “I don’t care” when you experience something painful, it just felt so reeeaaal. So a heads up. When you read: “tearing up” is a possibility but “heart squeegees” will definitely happen. Dialogs, feelings, bantering, steamy scenes were just great and the grand gesture was the perfect end to an awesome read. This is a book that definitely lives up to the hype so in conclusion…. “I really really liked this book - so umm.. yeah go read it too”. 5🌟s

Great Start to the Book Series
This book is VERY good. The character development for each person is through and you can really relate to them. It starts a little slow to build the background context, but once it takes off, you can’t help but want to read what comes next! The dialogue is easy to read and the story is straight to the point. Definitely could’ve kept reading this story.

UGHHH. I. LOVED. THIS. BOOK. So damn much. I can’t remember whose review I saw but I’ve wanted to read this ever since and it was everything I love in a romance - loveable, raw characters, strong ass friendships, lots of well-written steam, and a SUPER CUTE couple. The plot brings us second chances, self development, new beginnings, healing, chemistry, steam and dreamy romance, told between dual perspectives from Delilah and Claire, both of whom I adored. Delilah was such a quirky, bold and outgoing character, but she had a vulnerable side for sure and my heart utterly broke for her upbringing and the effect it had on her. Every single side character was hilarious, brilliantly written and added something to the plot. The relationship growth and the individual character development was brilliantly done, I loved the witty humour throughout and the subplot of bye bye Spencer! My only gripe about this book is the use of “the other woman” from Claire and Delilah’s POV which felt slightly odd and the unnecessary, undisguised descriptions of race (always white) when characters were introduced. Other than this I ADORED this book, it was super engaging and I was hooked from the first page to the last - I’m SO excited to have just been granted the second book on Netgalley which I can’t WAIT to read! Side note: how CUTE is this front cover!? OBSESSED.

I read this absolutely awesome over the weekend, and I'm still swooning over the MCs and their adorable romance ❤️ This was equal parts funny, swoony, wholesome and profound, and it's been on my mind ever since I finished it. Like, I'm literally making art for this book, that's how much I'm obsessed with it 🤍 It also gave an amazing friend group, an introspective and growing sibling relationship, andd it dealt with two women dealing with their issues of loneliness and abandonment and moving forward from it. Totally, totally recommend this book to everyone ❤️ Tropes, rep etc - sapphic romance between a bi MC and a lesbian MC, grumpy/sunshine, one-bed trope, sister's best friend, single parent MC, found family Aand finally, Astrid Parker aka Delilah's sister's book is up next 😭 I'm so excited for it!
