DEWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX* 3/8 in. Cordless Impact Wrench with Hog Ring Anvil (Tool Only) (DCF923B)

I wanted a "do it all" tool that I could use for general mechanics work, something that would be small enough to fit into tight places but powerful enough for basically anything I would run into on passenger cars and trucks. This tool meets all my requirements. Its small, lightweight, powerful, and has good battery life and the LED lights are actually decent and since they are mounted in a ring around the output shaft they actually provide light to the workspace unlike the bottom mounted lights I have seen on other tools. I can verify the advertised torque output I replaced the front struts on a F150 and the lower strut bolt has a factory torque spec of 350ft/lbs a 1/2" drive pneumatic impact was struggling to break it loose, this tool had no problems doing the job despite the rust it broke the bolt loose like it was nothing and did the same thing on the other side. I was using the small 2AH batteries on that job and one was plenty for the lugnuts, and all the bolts required to remove and replace the front struts. I purchased the larger 5AH batteries and have used them to do a number of jobs and as long as you have two batteries I cant conceive of doing anything where you would run out of power. In all I am very pleased with this tool and since I don't work on heavy equipment the 450lbs of breakaway torque and 350ft/lbs in the other direction is more than enough.

Powerful nut braking capability. This with the power stack has been amazing. Its compact enough that I have it attached to my tool bag I daily carry. Ive not run into anything that this cannot handle as a DIYer. I even use it for light driver task to speed things up, just have to be careful.

This is a solid MF'er. Lighter weight than my previous model. Three LED lights illuminate my work area nicely. Even has brightness settings. Makes quick work out of stubborn bolts. Torque capacity keeps up with Milwaukee 3/8" impacts of the same caliber. Most of the time I have it set to max uggah-duggah. Great value for the money.

Good stuff! Works as expected.

This tiny little impact delivers an amazing amount of power. Great for tight spaces and punches well above it class. I have the same impact at work and use it all day rebuilding cylinders and pumps. It will handle pretty well all 1/2”-3/4” fasteners unless over torqued or rusted badly. Have broken 3/8” rods trying to remove them.

Stay with a know brand name.

Great impacting ratchet, cheaper than the in store price at my local runnings and Home Depot. And it came with a cover so I don’t damage the head of the driver. Would definitely buy again, but it’s DeWalt so it probably won’t break.

I bought this thinking I would have to still break nuts &bolts free, use this to spin the them the rest of the way, but this thing broke free all of my exhaust bolts, when replacing my catalytic converter, on an (05 sierra) brakes loose every lug nut, every time. U bolts on rear axle, use it to jack up the camper jacks. So far everything I've needed it for at his handled effortlessly, everything works as it should, the lights nice, Don't use tool connect and haven't really played with the modes all that much, except for one and two when I don't want to cross thread a bolt or snap the head off. haven't drove any leg bolts with it, but im sure it can definitely handle it, I use it as an automotive tool, because my truck loves to rust, and loves to break, and so far it's exceeded my expectations by far! I'm not a full-time mechanic or anything but I can't believe I didn't get one of these sooner.

Purchased to replace an older unit that had an unfortunate dip into some 10w30 and I should have bought it sooner. Well balanced with a 5AH battery and does everything a 3/8 gun should.

I didn't think this compact tool would be so powerful- removing lug nuts on my car with ease, and after removing and replacing the wheels, the 4-ah batteries I use only used 1 bar of power from that battery. Very satisfied
