Originally developed for demanding applications in auto racing, our premium oil filter is quickly becoming a favorite among consumers for its durability and easy removal. We have changed the oil filters and several of our product development technicians are athlete-class athletes. They insisted that we offer an oil filter that corrected the headaches they experienced over the years when changing oil filters.We've all been there: Whether it's remembering where the vanishing canister tool is; or having oil leaks all over the garage and yourself; or, finally, give up and squeeze a screwdriver through the filter to remove it. Each of our automotive and marine oil filters comes with a nut welded to the top of the canister so it can be easily torn off with a standard tool. Our motorcycle and ATV oil filters come with a 17mm nut. Our oil filters use resin impregnated cellulose filter media. This allows for higher flow rates while providing excellent filtration. High filter flow rates are important in racing vehicles where heavier grade oil is used and the oil is pumped much faster than in a standard vehicle. When the engine circulates oil at high GPM speeds, the high-flow oil filter helps reduce pressure loss through the filtering process. To meet the demands of racers, our oil filter has many features that exceed the requirements of most vehicles. We use thicker walls for strength and durability, which reduces the risk of damage from loose rocks and debris. The heavy-duty construction will withstand higher oil pressures only found in unbursted, racing environments. The drilled hole in the nut is for a safety cable attachment. Required for many types of racing, the safety cable prevents oil filters from falling on the track and pose a hazard to other racing vehicles.
