Jeep TJ 1997-2006: How to Build & Modify

Basic intro to the TJ model with good background and information on the options the TJ was available in.The author takes a bare bones TJ he purchased and makes upgrades to it and uses that as the selection and discussion topics. You get a walk through of the Jeep and some minor instructions on what to do (it is not a how-to manual or shop book). The ultimate point is to show the new owner what possibilities are available for various types of upgrades and why one would do them or not.So if you’re new to the TJ model, it’s an easy read that will give you a launch point on knowing your model and maybe what you bought already installed if you bought it used like I did.Would recommend for concise info in one place but probably most of it you’d get with lots of internet research in Jeep forums or blog articles. For me it was an easy read and something I’d make my son read before he starts driving it to understand the model better.

The author has a TJ unlimited and uses it to help better understand the book. TJ/LJ....it's worth it. Also this was very recently published so the info is current and better suited for a mid-high mileage TJ.

Informative, gives ideas of how personalize your Jeep to your life style. Some of it I feel it is sales.

Was disappointed had no wiring schematics. Didn't see anything air conditioning. Good book for the price.
