I can't ssh from a linux peppermint computer, into the usb dongle which is using the latest raspbian image. does ssh only work on windows?

Linux is ok, but window is the software that needs to install bonjour.

Can i use this with a power adapter to power the pi sero? i would like to free both usb ports on the pi for other uses.
