I love warlord games and played a lot of bolt action. So thought I'd pick this up after watching the waterloo film! Rules are straight forward enough but tend to use house rules for black powder period. The great value comes from the huge number of miniatures you get that are very easy to put together. However this is the major drawback of warlords black powder plastic range in that all the soldiers have the same 'shoulder arms' pose. This can make armies look quite boring. But for £50 it isnt bad.

Superb with 138 models, book and quick starter guide and ref sheet two army's in one box so you can play either side for £59 its a bargain

Some extra models in the pictures but just to show how easy it is to do. It took about a month to paint it all up. I enjoyed doing it a lot, rules are easy and a great thing to start. Excellent value for money considering one regiment of line infantry is normally £20.

A well considered combination of Warlord Games products in a comprehensive kit - every thing you need to start playing Black Powder for the 100-days campaign! Great value too!!

Lovely set of miniatures. My son and I are slowly painting and playing with them. Well worth the father son bonding time.
