Slide Pizza Like a Pro
Right out of the box, this peel feels sturdy, well balanced, and really well made. The perforated aluminum is a huge plus as extra flour falls right through instead of burning on the stone, which makes for smoother launches and better-tasting crusts. Pizzas slide off easily with no sticking. It’s lightweight and easy to handle, but still feels solid and durable. Half the price of the branded OONI peel and I like the extra length to keep things safe (fits the OONI Koda 12 which I own). Easy to clean and store as the handle detaches. Great control and makes the whole process feel easy as a pie (pizza pie that is).

Great Pizza Peel for the Price
I never expected much from a budget pizza peel, but this one totally blew me away. For what it costs, it delivers way more than I thought I’d get. The board is solid, slides under a pizza crust smoothly, and the handle feels nice to grip — not flimsy at all. It’s lightweight enough to use comfortably but strong enough that it hasn’t bent or warped after regular use. I cook homemade pizzas pretty often, and this peel makes loading and unloading from the oven almost effortless. If you want a good pizza peel without spending a ton, this is it. Great value, really well made, and it does everything I need.

If Im a Professional Now Just Say That...
Ok so long story long...we bought a Gourmia countertop pizza oven (the bomb, btw) about 6 months ago. Me, not realizing that making fresh pizza with fresh dough at home was actually much harder than it looks...started buying all of the dough and all of the cheese...all of the things...thinking I was about to be Giada De Laurentiis or someone in the kitchen, right? Wrong. Making fresh pizza is HARD! The dough is finicky, the flour you need is very specific, AND on top of that, all pizza peels ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL. So I got to work learning more about how to work with the dough, ordering semolina flour because none of the stores in my smallish town sell it, and researching and buying MULTIPLE pizza peels. I finally landed on this wooden one by Hans Grill after losing my s*** trying to work with two previous other brands that I'd purchased. I say all that to say this: my Hans pizza peel got here last week and after MONTHS of f-ing up pizza crusts, destroying the shape while trying to arrange them on the peel, ripping them apart, attempting to launch them into my pizza oven only to have all the toppings fly across the hot friggin pizza stone as if I'd shoved them out of a moving city bus, the Hans pizza peel FINALLY got me right. No exaggeration, I've made about 7 pizzas of varying sizes in the less than a week since the peel has been delivered to my home. I have FINALLY found a pizza peel that has me feeling very professional in the pizza making dept right now. I'm able to launch my pizzas into the Gourmia oven PERFECTLY. My dough isn't sticking to the peel, it's easy to clean, and it's the perfect size for this 12" pizza oven. HIGHLY recommend. Without question. This thing will have you narrating your own cooking show with an imaginary audience in the comfort of your home. Why? Because that's what a pizza making expert like yourself SHOULD do. The combination of this peel and a quality semolina flour has truly been a game changer. For context though...I was using semolina with the other two pizza peels I'd purchased and the crusts were still playing in my face at launch time. Get a HANS wooden pizza peel. Stop researching the peels, buy this one. Trust me on this. I'm just a regular, very much a legit cook in the kitchen type of girl but the homemade pizzas were kicking my BUTT until I found this thing. Buy it. Full stop.

A good metal pizza peel that works well for retrieving a pizza.
I have found that a wooden pizza peel dusted with flour works best for launching a pizza into the oven and onto a pizza stone. A metal one works best for retrieval of the pizza from the oven as it is easier to get it under the pizza. I like this pizza peel and appreciate that the handle can be screwed off for storage. One review mentioned that the peel turned and dumped the pizza, but I suspect that the handle had not been tightened enough. My only reservation is that storage of the peel with the handle off means finding a way to store them together. I did find another peel that the handle folds over the peel keeping them together. I decided to return this peel in favor of the one that the handle stays attached. It makes storage much easier and I don't have to worry about losing the handle. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Works great on my Traeger!
Great pizza oven! Fits my Traeger 34 pro perfectly! Impressed with how quickly it heats up. Went to harbor freight for a laser thermometer. It worked fine to measure the stone temp. Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect pizza peel
Hands down, best pizza peel I've ever used for launching. I'm a bit obsessed with creating the "perfect" pizza, and have been trying to perfect the art for about 20 years now. I have used every kind and material of pizza peel, and the subtle differences with this one really set it apart. The material is like teflon and the slightly raised areas really aid in keeping air under the pizza, which helps it not stick. I use a 65% hydration dough, hand stretch to about 10 inches, make the pizza and finish stretching once loaded onto the peel. Every pizza I've done glides right off onto the stone. The holes in the peel help any excess semolina stay on the counter rather than on your stone. To be perfectly honest, launching pizza's used to give me nightmares... this peel truly makes the process easier and I haven't looked back. Never thought I'd write this much about a pizza peel, but it has been a gamechanger for me. The thickness and size are perfect, the handle unscrews for easy storage, and the end of the peel has almost like a knife edge which makes pick up easier.

Absolutely amazing for the price, I do not own the Ooni branded one, but this works so wonderfully for about half the price! Great quality and craftsman ship.

I like it but sometimes i have a hard time sliding it onto my stone because it sticks to my Pizza Peel PRO and i don't like to use to much flower on my peel because it makes the pizza to flowery tasting.

Tried a variety of smaller (and even cheaper) peels in the past and this one is an absolute winner! Great product for the price / quality it offers and also is very convenient to store with its detachable handle. A must have at home to use oven safely and easily. The holes are great to get rid of excess flour and the size of the peel is also good for an entire 10-12 inch pizza to comfortably / securely fit on to the peel to transfer to the oven. Product quality of the peel and wooden handle are nice too! Good buy!
