This laptop stand is great. I purchased another before buying this one. The first one — a Cornmi product, made of aluminum — is fine, nice design, but lightweight and could topple at the higher settings. The Huanuo is incredibly sturdy, hefty and easily adjustable. It will not rock when leaned on. It took awhile to arrive but is well worth the wait, IMO. I researched before buying — mainly to try sourcing a comparable product with a faster delivery — but couldn’t find anything else out there as durable or steady. Would definitely buy again. The Cornmi stand is good for portability. This one is excellent for everyday use. Two thumbs up.

Definitely worth it, for me. This offers a wider range of heights and angles that other laptop boosters would struggle with. It's sturdy and heavy, not in a bad way though, it's comfortable for it to be this heavy because it feels very stable to put a laptop on, like the desk simply has an extra "floating stage platform" now. Definitely "feels right" to dock a laptop on it. My favorite thing about it is how handles the weight of a large laptop VERY well. Although 17 inch laptop compatibility is probably hit or miss, Hit: + sturdiness: having a particular height & angle while also not tipping over nor slipping! + adjustability of different angles & heights! + a really convenient, just MAKES SENSE, tool-less adjustment system! Miss: - the bottom lip for keeping a laptop up is pretty short, I think the only 17 inch laptops that could stay on at a steep angle without modification would be, the LG Gram 17 and the Razer Blade 17 maybe. For the issues & challenges I had with usage, a 17 inch laptop I wanted to put on top was *barely* slipping off the bottom lip, which I fixed by adding some anti-slip tape. Bottom line of why I bought this is, the only alternatives would have been an expensive arm-mounting system to build into the desk, or even paying for a custom carpentry project. After trying this out, I've had a great experience, and won't be worrying about those alternatives anytime soon.

Solid, I bought this so I could stand and work. My office doesn’t have any standing workstations, so I had to make my own. It’s nice and high. And, has lots of different angles and heights that you can set it at, as well as being fairly easy enough to readjust when needed. I like it. It’s not small, and definitely a little heavier than I expected, with some strange edges which makes it a bit awkward to carry under my arm from the car into the office every day, but I’m getting used to it. I’d suggest that if you are on the weak side and/or have short arms, or if you need something that you’re going to carry around or possibly put in a bag, this is NOT it. Assembly was okay. This is very functional, and especially if it had a place that it stayed all of the time. No place for a mouse/pad, unless maybe you had a tiny 10” laptop, you could squeeze a small one on top next to it. I use the top of desktop printer which sits at my work station. Oh, I leave it in my car most nights in the hatch, and it must have gotten really hot a couple straight days and the black “paint” which is more like a wraping, and the heat must have caused the edges to start pealing up. Eventually I imagine I will either need to cut or maybe try a heatgun or hairdryer to fix it. Or, I could just peel it off altogether and paint it. The top is wood, the pressed particle board stuff i think, and maybe I wouldn’t even need to paint it.

I read a ton of reviews and chose this because it was the most affordable standing desk solution. As others have written, it is VERY sturdy. It feels like there's zero chance this would topple in even the highest position, at any angle. So that's great. As I expected, it's not entirely easy to raise and lower, but I'm getting the gist of it, and it CAN be done with the laptop in place if I'm careful. The table surface area is smaller than I'd expected, and there's nowhere to put anything like a mouse or add-on keyboard, so I will have to find a way to hack that. I'd love suggestions in the comments! Most dismaying for me is that I have a pretty shallow IKEA desk, and the base takes up way more space than I'd expected. That's the cost of all that stability, I guess, but I didn't quite realize when I ordered. The length of the base, all-told, is 16", which is 40cm. Given that my cheap IKEA desk is only about 22" deep, I've had to push the desk away from the wall a little and let this stand hang over the back edge - otherwise, it would literally be three inches away from my face. You can see what it looks like in these pictures with the desk pushed away from the wall (excuse the mess!). It's not horrible, but it's not exactly what I'd hoped for and cuts into the space available in my office. So. I'm still searching for a way to use this comfortably in a standing position with my keyboard and mouse. But I'm happy it's here, and it certainly lives up to the promises of sturdiness and positionability. Be sure to read all reviews before buying for maximum satisfaction!

With a firm and sturdy steel frame construction and two points of contact with a heavier base, this is the best option for securely elevating even the heaviest laptops. While some might say that the adjustment mechanism is too simplistic, I prefer to think of it as a robust mechanism unlikely to every break or wear down significantly enough to affect performance like some of the cheaper ratcheting mechanisms with plastic parts in cheaper models. It came with two extra nonslip pads which I placed on the metal tray lip to prevent scratches on my laptop. The actual surface is wood/MDF or something similar with a black finish. Assembly is simple, just screw on the top surface. It is a little difficult with the stand attached, but you can manage if you hold it properly and have a good screwdriver. The screws fit well and hold in the surface securely.
