PreSonus Quantum 2626, 26x26, Thunderbolt 3, Low Latency audio interface with software bundle including Studio One Artist, Ableton Live Lite DAW and more for recording, streaming and podcasting

I returned this unit straightaway as it produced intense hum, which improved when the Macbook Pro it was connected to was itself connected to the mains. As if it relied on the host computer for earthing. There was also a lot of noise when touching volume knobs, and turning those pots made scratchy noises like some cheap radio.Overall absolutely unusable in a professional capacity, and. not even suitable for a beginner or for anyone. The specs were good, but th execution is pitiful.On top of all that when I contacted Presonus for an exchange they were totally unhelpful, only offering an RMA repair. Thankfully Amazon were superb as always and took the unit back for a refund.I subsequently purchased something else from another brand which works perfect and proves it's possible (at a still very reasonable price).

Spent some time (about a month or so) trying to get the unit working properly with my MacBook Pro, DAW and my outboard gear. Came across a subtle post somewhere that suggested I upgrade my system software to Big Sur along with the associated applications in a certain order and it all finally came together. Since then it has been a dream to use with Logic Pro and Cubase 12 Pro sits in the heart of my studio environment. Will probably purchase a 2nd unit to cater for a Mackie Onyx 800R and a Focusrite Octopre LE, both 8 channel preamps with ADAT connectivity. The 2nd 2626 unit will fit in very nicely here providing me with 52 channels of audio.

Specifically bought as a thunderbolt interface to record a drum kit via 8 pre amps.Disappointing, I installed necessary drivers for my M1 MacBook, big sur.After 3hrs later and various thunderbolt cables still did not get the unit to be operational .In addition , a thunderbolt cables not supplied .I’ve read and seen good reviews about this product but with my system I couldn’t get it to work .Praises to AmazonFor prompt refund and less quibble return.
