Used them in many different situations and works well

I used this small relay as a start up delay for a large transfer relay. In my application, a large relay would switch between shore power to inverter power to power up a residential refrigerator in my RV while driving. I found that my inverter did not like starting up into a load and would shut down. I used this relay to add an 15 second delay between starting up and applying the load thereby allowing the inverter to come up to full power before transferring the load. This solved all my problems. It’s small and very easy to mount the base. Round knob on top of the relay adjusts the delay between 0 and 60 seconds. I mounted this relay on a vertical wall but worried that with a rough road it could bounce the relay out of its socket. I bent a piece of aluminum into an L shape and screwed the small leg of the L to the wall with screws and used double sided VHB tape to the relay body on the long side of the L. It can be removed for service but will prevent the relay from falling out of its base. Unfortunately, there is no clear instructions included with the relay for wiring or how it is configured. After looking up the relay on line, I was finally able to wire it up and it works but the manufacturer would be wise to include instructions for use. Deduct 1 star for that.

This time delay relay comes with no instructions, but the schematic on the side is almost sufficient to get it working. The one potential gotcha is that one set of SPDT contacts (aka "Form C") is delayed while the other set immediately changes state as soon as power is applied. The time-delayed contacts that are normally open are on pins 8 [common] and 6, while the NC contact is on pin 5. This relayd does come with the necessary octal-base socket which can either be snapped onto DIN rail or else directly mounted with two holes (maybe 6-32 or M3?).

I use mine to delay turn on of a small network switch. This way the router has a chance to boot up before the switch. Then the switch is successfully found. It took me a few tries to get the exact delay I wanted. Turn on, wait, check stop watch, repeat. Once set, the delay time is very repeatable. If I could have the unit any way I wanted, I would prefer the 'UP' LED to be green instead of red.

Works as described. There are very few options for Delayed ON Relays... worth the money. Printed wiring diagram on the relay is a plus.

Simply does not actually work. It turns on, it switches to secondary, but no ACTUAL current moves through it. It lights up, how cute... Find a better AH3-3 out there and pass this one up.

With a number of surging electric heats we delayed the load surges too allow double the heaters to start on one standard building timer line. Ya I'm here all night! LOL
