Why does this product say it never comes from olives? What’s wrong with olives?

Olive-derived Squalane is not as pure as sugarcane-derived Squalane and its quality is crop-dependent. Our Squalane is certified as 100% bio-based by the United States Department of Agriculture BioPreferred Program and conforms to ECOCERT's Natural & Organic Cosmetics standard. It is a product of plant sugar fermentation and it is the purest and most stable Squalane currently available on the market.

The amazon description says organic certified, but the label doesn't confirm. can you please show the proof of usda organic certification?

Although I’m happy with this product, I believe the organic claim is misleading because there is no USDA organic marking or even organic ingredients listed. Ingredient list is as follows: Squalane, tocopheryl acetate (vit E). The bottle says it is ECOCERT approved and is a USDA certified Bio-based product. This is different than organic unfortunately. Hope this helps.
