Newer one has a bit longer legs and feels lighter, but looks the same. There’s big issue with screw treads. No tool included and they don’t look familiar at all. I ended up erasing the tread completely with wrong screw driver on my older tripod when was trying to tighten the screws. Other than this it’s, hands down, the best small tripod I’ve owned in years. I used it with heavy camera/ gimbal configuration and as a base for 360 camera setup. Very versatile and solid product. Review: An excellent tripod for macro photography - This is a very nice, strong-but-light tripod that I'll be using for my macro photography. It provides rock-solid support for my Canon EOS M5 in all conceivable positions for close-in photography. Highly recommended.

An excellent tripod for macro photography
This is a very nice, strong-but-light tripod that I'll be using for my macro photography. It provides rock-solid support for my Canon EOS M5 in all conceivable positions for close-in photography. Highly recommended.
