Very bright.
Good purchase for the price. Quality head lamps. They're about what you'd expect & want out of a head lamp. Good buy.

Just an amazing value for this much utility
These headlamps are the perfect intersection of great price and better utility. On one hand, it's only a few dollars each but on the other, they provide so much help to you when you need it the most. Let's start with the packaging: admittedly this is weakest part. You get just one box that holds all your batteries, lamps and headstraps. They could have made individual packaging for each headlamp, thereby letting us give out a clean package to other people or keep one in each drawer around the house and in one little box. Also, the batteries and strap are not installed. This is fine if you got 10 minutes to kill while watching TV but a tad annoying if you haven't done this beforehand and are fiddling with it in the dark. Most other headlamps have straps attached and have a tab to pull on pre-installed batteries so it's definitely feels a bit DIY. The lamps: These are very bright and very easy to use. They fit snug against your head and even have a little concave plastic tab that fits against your forehead and moves up and down. There's one button that toggles between BRIGHT, less bright and off. I'm glad there's no more buttons or features than that. I have fancier lights that toggle between 3-4 brightness levels and/or flashing modes or have multiple buttons and it's completely useless. 99.9% of customers are going to be just people with power outages and people going back to their tents from the campfire while camping. For those few hikers who feel like they could get lost, be in the dark and need emergency flashing functions to signal rescuers, I guess consider other lamps. That's it! These can make a perfect low-cost gift if you don't mind not having its own box. Even if not a gift, just buy this and throw it in the drawer. I can't stress to you how useful these things are in a power outage. From going downstairs and being able to hold the railing, traversing the DARK basement to flip a breaker or going to the garage to get a generator going, having your hands free is paramount and just plain easier. Best yet, you can turn it on , stick the light upwards in the air and get enough light in the room to actually do things even if you don't want it on your head. This thing blinded me when I looked at it so it's plenty bright. The build doesn't look too waterproof so watch out for rain. It's also 90% plastic. That helps with the weight but I'm sure you could snap a piece if you didn't watch it. Not sure about battery life but it's LED and 3 AAs. I'm sure it lasts plenty long. That's it. Great product. Highly recommended, especially at the low BF prices I've seen it at.

So far, so good. Would recommend, great value.
So far, so good. I would have liked a brighter setting, but these are for sure a great value and work for my needs. Would recommend, just know they are not the brightest lamps available.

A GREAT deal when I purchased
When I purchased these it was a great deal. Came with batteries. The brightness was one of the strongest of all headstrapped lights I ever bought from any brick and mortar store, enough so there wasn't a need for an extra. Even the batteries were the best and those were free with purchase.

Get them before you really need them.
Good value on a good product that even comes with Eveready batteries. Just got these a couple weeks ago and hadn’t tried them out yet. Then for three days over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the Central Coast of CA experienced extraordinary wind events with rain on and off; trees down, power poles down, etc. Christmas Eve, power out for 18 hours. Christmas Day, power out for 34 hours. Used the headlamps continually for neighborhood checks, debris removal, camp stove cooking, and just getting around the house. They even work very well for book reading, when power, cable, internet, WiFi are all down. Enough said. I will be ordering more. You should definitely get them, just in case.

Amazing Value
These lights come with junk batteries, but for $4 per light, it's hard to expect more. The lights themselves are absolutely excellent for the price. They're simple to operate -- click once for bright, click again for low, click again for off. They're very bright, equal to other lights that are $50 each. I like to camp a lot and personally I use a fancier light, but for kids they're fantastic, and for friends camping with us that are having trouble setting up their tent, it's a no-brainer to just give them one of these, especially since they're so cheap and work so well. I've used them on a number of trips and haven't had one fail yet.

great sturdy simple design
Such a good price, perfect simple design and well made. Great to have multiple to have one in every car, shed, next to the bed for power outage, in emergency supplies.
