GF Harvest Gluten Free Oat Groats, 40 Ounce Bag, Pack of 2

I love these! Delicious!

Our family deals with food allergies and this brand does an excellent job of verifying their products and transparently sharing with their customers. Our kids use this for hot cereal breakfast with fruit, snacks (granola and bars), and treats (chocolate oatmeal cookies)

They taste good. The delivery was fast…I liked that.

Given that groats require less processing than rolled oats or steel cut oats, it seems it should cost less. But groats seemed to cost more simply because it's less in demand or sellers want more profit. It's too bad since groats are better for you and are now my favorite form of oats. GF Harvest 5 pound bags are about the right amount for someone who only uses it occasionally, but I would prefer a 10 pound bag which cost less per pound.

These are cheaper than the Bob's Red Mill brand, but they are also smaller. These look to be about the size of long grain rice whereas the Bob's Red Mill tend to be larger and fatter. However, I do not detect any noticeable difference in taste and you buy this by weight so it is a good value. I like to mix groats with my steel cut oats at a 1:3 ratio for added texture. I make my breakfast for the week. I cook them for 5 min in my Instant Pot with 1C of water, 1C of almond milk (if you use cow milk it foams up and makes a mess), and 1tsp of salt. Then I add the steel cut oats 2C, 2C almond milk, and 4C water for another 5 minutes. Add honey and fresh blue berries for desired sweetness.

This product is grown by a man who has celiac in his family and celiac himself. So, he knows the importance that product is gluten-free. It's delicious, hearty, and easy to prepare, especially with an electric pressure cooker. It's a staple in our family. So grateful. Wish it were a little less costly, but it's worth it.

the price for these is great and they are just as good as the other more expensive brands but cheaper and we have not noticed any difference in taste or texture compared to the other brands. Will be purchasing again and Highly recommend!

I really love these. I have a roller for them and roll them just before I cook them so I have all the nutrition. Not quite as good as the regular but the best I've found so far for Gluten Free. The biggest problem I have is to continue receiving them. I had them on automatic delivery every month and they keep coming off. Why?
