does it work on newer ios such as 14+ or iphone 12 pro?

I used it with an iPhone 12 mini and iPad mini 5th generation, both of which are updated to whatever update is the most recent. Sorry I'm not sure what it is for each of them. It worked, I mean there are no bells and whistles with this. I could charge my device and be connected, which was nice, but expected for it to do the job. Function was really all I cared about to have a backup for work. I needed the ability to connect directly via ethernet to counteract wifi instability. Hope that helps!

Can you or can you not use the iphone over the landline with this adapter?

no. apples and oranges This is a wired ethernet - not pots landline traditional landline is not ethernet based. If you have a internet based Voice over IP line and an app for the iphone - OK All this does is take what normally is received over wifi and makes it come over the ethernet port.

It fits the standard lighting connector. It has an RJ45 for ethernet and a female lightning connector to allow it to be charged while connected to ethernet.
