Item worked great .. I was skeptical at first because it didnt look like a good seal but it held in water when I filled part of it to test it a day later it was still inside .. so it will keep water out

When I unpacked this item, I discovered it was rubbery with a lot of little suction cups molded in. I tried it out that evening and it worked perfectly. What a delightful surprise! It beat the **** out of some other product that I ended up discarding. Highly recommended.

This works great for adding an extra few inches of water to a bath. It stays on well without leaking, letting you keep water in the bathtub that is a few inches higher than normal. The exact extra height of the water will vary depending on what overflow drain type you have, but you should see at least 2-3 inches more water. The suction cups are a bit small and this can cause them to flip inside out when trying to attach it to the tub. It would work better if they were slightly larger. However, it is easy to flip them back to normal and get it attached. I would expect that these will eventually stop sticking because of their size, but I think it is likely to last for at least a year and at this price, that's not a bad deal. Tip: Don't press hard when attaching it to the bathtub and the suction cups won't flip inside out as easily. The water pressure when the bath is filled up will hold it in place and prevent leaks. Some things to keep in mind: * If your bathtub doesn't have a smooth, flat surface to connect to, this will not work for you. You need 2-3 inches of smooth, flat surface all the way around the overflow on your bathtub for this to work. * If you have a faucet that doesn't stick out as far as a standard faucet on the bathtub, you may end up filling this with water when the faucet is used instead of the shower. You can prevent that by turning this to the side enough not to fill it up with water, but you'll lose some of the extra water height that you can get. You can avoid this by only attaching this once the shower is on and then do not turn on the faucet during the shower. This isn't necessary with a standard faucet.

I can finally take a good bath! I moved into this apartment that had a deep tub. The drain was all corroded and my tub would start to drain in the midst of bathing so I got one of those flat suction drain covers, but it kept happening. I was thinking that maybe the texture of the tub and it starting to slope was making it not cover the drain sufficiently. In my search for better drain cover I see this. Who knew an overfill drain was a thing? I did not. I bought this to see if this would fix my problem and all is well in the world now. Plus the suction is excellent. My tub starts to curve at an angle due to the design but this cover with the individual suction cups made it possible.
