Does not read correctly
I have 3 compasses looking for one I like. A lensatic tritium Commenga and Suunto M-3. And this Suunto M-2 mirror is my third. I tested their accuracy far away from any metal / electirical items. As a matter of fact, I was away from everything. I taped a piece of paper on plywood and tested all three very carefully by drawing a line when all three were put on the same bearing and of course adjusted for deviation for my are in Florida. The lensatic and Suunto M-3 read exactly the same. This Suunto MC-2 mirror compass read 3 to 4 degrees different. I really liked this compass but now I am very sad and wondering how many years was it in stock OR is quality control just soooo bad? So now I wonder if anyone can tell me if it is ok to adjust the deviation so it reads like the other two when the arrow is in the shed and just know that it is this compass that needs that adjustment ??? Of course it is too late to return it...... Disgruntled in Florida

Great convient compass, nice size, no complaints.
Great compass, does all I wanted. Did not know about the needle lock-down when the case is closed, nice feature.

Great Product
I have been using Suunto products for many years and was looking to add a mirrored compass to add to my collection. Since I use my compasses with1/24 scale this is the perfect model. It was difficult finding this model so I'm glad it was available on Amazon. Field use has been flawless.

Not the same product as in the photo
I have used a Sunnto compass similar to this one for 25 years. I bought my first one after using the same model as a forestry technician for the Forest Service many years ago. I much enjoyed that quality piece of equipment and always appreciated the luminous bezel (which my U.S. Gov't issue one never had) when working at night. I found my old one broken in my pack a month or so ago and naturally went to Amazon to replace it. I would probably not order this compass from Amazon again, I would go to Forestry Suppliers or another specialty outfit, preferably locally. At minimum go there to figure out exactly which model you need and then order by the model number. The problem is twofold: Amazon doesn't use the full model numbers (luminous models have an "L" in the number - the item I recieved is labeled MC-2/360/IN/D/NH), and Amazon shows the same picture for all models. I got in a hurry and ordered this compass, being careful to make sure it was the northern hemisphere model. What I couldn't determine from the text (not there) was whether it had a luminous bezel (not in text on lumionous model either). After flipping back and forth between the various models I thought I had it figured out which one had the luminous bezel (as pictured) but when I finally got the product it turned out to have the standard bezel. When I tried to return the product, Amazon would not take the return because for some reason these compasses are listed as containing hazardous materials. Really? They did offer me a refund, which somewhat makes up for my hassle. But this was on top of having the order delayed by two weeks due to the confusion with Amazon Prime not actually being two - day free delivery (if I would have ordered the luminous bezel I would have had it in two days but they were backordered on this model - which I thought was luminous -ugg.) After all was said and done I waited two extra weeks for a product I didn't want and couldn't return. As an outdoor professional this put me without a compass for two weekends of backcountry work and then a third backcountry vacation. I am now faced with using the item I didn't order or trying to locate one locally (unlikely) or ultimately reordering the correct item. Ugg By the way, I gave this product only 4 stars, because the luminous model is just the same, but luminous - why wouldn't you get the luminous one? (maybe if you're a ninja and it would be a glowing target)
