The polyethylene is in the security veil which is a thin wrap that helps with comfort of insertion and removal. There is no PEG. Hope this helps!

Why so much plastic? Why won't you make these with a cardboard applicator and paper wrapper?

We considered cardboard applicators but unfortunately they are never as comfortable to insert as plastic. Hope this helps!
