Easy to use when I connect my wide band O2 gauge to my laptop. Just connected RXD and ground to the gauge wires.

The part ordered had a different connection than what was expected

These are a good product, work as intended, no complaints: 5 stars. Just be careful and know that these have no output voltage to supply your device with power. A mistake that I made. Order the -5.0 or -3.3 if you want to power on the red wire.

Needed this for a work project. Simplifies the translation of serial RS232 data from any new PC to our manufacturing product. FDTI chipset drivers were super easy to install and start using. The transparent USB up is also a nice touch to see when data bits are being transmitted or received. Well worth it.
