I had no clue what this was when my daughter put in on her xmas list. I went ahead and took a chance on it & was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty easy, gave her a project to do & the resultant squishies are much better quality than I would have expected from a do it yourself kit. Plus they are extra cool to her b/c she made them.Like many other reviewers, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching the video on the mfger site before you do this project. Seeing someone else go through the instructions on video is so much better than just using the so-so written instructions. Plus they go through several things that could go wrong & how to mitigate. My other big reco is to do this project WITH your child...b/c (1) you need patience for it to work (this is really hard for an 8-ish year old who wants her squishy!) (2) things could go awry & having an adult there to help them w/ quick thinking is a must.How this works:-You get 2 small molds of different animal shapes. The molds look like big plastic lockets. You also get 2 tufts of hair & 2 premade faces. You pick a tuft of hair & face to go w/ each animal shape mold & place them in the mold; there are little pegs so you know just where to place everything. You close the locket w/ the face & hair in place.-You get 2 packs of goo, each one a different color. Each pack is a thick clear baggie w/ a spout and there are 2 thin baggies inside the thick baggie. Each of the thin baggies has a different type of goo inside it; I guess it is a color and an activator or something? You don't open the outer bag, just pop the 2 inner bags, squeeze their contents into the unopened outer bag, and then kneed the 2 goos together. Finally put the mixed goo bag's spout in the "keyhole" of the locket and squeeze the goo in.-You wait. I don't remember how long; but when done you open the "locket" you have a squishy. Keep the locket as a carrying case for the squishy.On one of ours when we popped the inner goo bags the outer bag popped too & there was an oily substance oozing out. Remember, I said make sure an adult helps...this is one of the things that went awry! Since I was there helping, I saw the leak and was able to quickly grab some packing tape and taped the outer bag to stop the leaking. We still got a perfect squishy out of that try, even w/ the goof up.

My daughter wanted these because she saw a commercial for them and we seen them scrolling through Amazon. They were easy to follow instructions. The first one didnt turn out as well as rhe 2nd one. They were cute and fun for her to play with. They were worth the money wgich is very inexpensive. Also they were something that kept her foxus and stayed interested in from start to finish. I will call that a success these days .

These are really cute and were fun to make. They worked great. You have to follow the directions carefully but if you do you shouldn’t have any problems.

I got these for my 5 year old for her birthday. It was easy to do following the instructions. The only thing I didn’t like was if the Jelly has a tail it was easy to pull apart and rip from the rest of the body which happened within the first 5 minutes of my daughter playing with it. Other than that the piece is sold once it sets up.
