Nail Quail - Strong Will Anti-Nail Biting Click Pen, 7ml, Made in USA

I’ve tried bitter nail-biting deterrents my whole life, and none of them worked like this one. The first time I went to bite my nails, the taste stopped me instantly. It is extremely bitter. honestly awful, but in the best way! The flavor spreads across your mouth and lingers unless you rinse it out, which makes biting your nails impossible and memorable to not do it again. There’s no smell, no sticky feeling, and it feels natural on the nails. I also love the name “Strong Will.” Every time I use it, it reminds me that I do have control over my habits, especially with the right tools. This product works exactly as intended. Highly recommend.

This is the best thing I could've gotten for my husband's incessant nail biting habit! He doesn't like it much, probably cuz it has a God awful taste, much like rubber cement, but in your mouth 😆 it's non-sticky, and doesn't peel off the nail easily. I had to reapply it, maybe every 2-3 days, depending on how many times a day he washed his hands- but it definitely works for nail biting - he hates that taste! Definitely will be buying this soon

HALEILUIA!!!!! IT WORKED!! My Mother is 84 yrs old and has been chewing her nails and then the skin around her nails until they bleed .......for 84 yrs!!! So I chose this brand for a start to my journey of nail chewing prevention. I first very skimpily tasted it to see how it was going to work. WOW....Drastic measures for a drastic habit. There is no taste or smell, just extremely bitter and long lasting. This may deter eating because if tasted, it affects your tasting food properly. I did give my mom a lozeng to help relieve the bitterness in her mouth. It did help relieve it. But I ordered 2.....Just in case LOL

Overall, this is a good product, but having used more traditional nail-polish-type deterrants in the past, I found this to be less effective. I'm giving it four stars due to the application being very convenient and different, but the result was that I ended up biting my nails again more often, as I will explain. I am a lifelong heavy nail biter, and despite using deterrants for 2 years and trying very hard to curb the habit, it's still a challenge. For the last 2 years I used Mavala stop nail polish, which has an intensely bitter taste and is basically a clear bottle of nail polish with bitter chemical added. As long as I keep this nail polish on, I can't bite my nails. Although the polish is water resistant, it wears off in about 2-3 days and by the end of the second day, I may find myself putting my fingers in my mouth some and attempting to bite my nails despite remnants of the bitter polish still being there. This is where these deterrants all hit a snag for me. If I'm not diligent about keeping it on my nails, I go back to biting. Which brings me to the Nail Quail. I bought it to try something different. This product has a similar strong bitter taste, and the applicator is so much more convenient than the nail polish bottle. Initially I was extremely happy with the product because of how much more quickly I could apply it to my nails, and it dries fast too as it is water-based. However, also because it is water-based, I found that within a single day it has already washed almost completely off of my hands (I wash my hands regularly throughout the day, especially when I'm working). To use this effectively, I need to reapply it multiple times each day, instead of ~3 times each week. That doesn't mean it's totally ineffective, but for my case it isn't perfect either. The shape of the product is like a marker, and I think it's meant to be slipped into a pocket or purse to carry around and reapply when out and about. I haven't done this, but I suppose I'll need to start. If I could get a formula of this that was more water resistant with the same applicator tip, I think it would be just about perfect.

This is the only product that works to keep my kid from sucking his thumb. However, ive never been able to get the full (advertised) 7mL out of it. With this last one we transitioned the liquid to a 5mL nail polish jar since the pen sometimes leaks (and you definitely dont want to get it on you!) You can tell the 5mL jar isn't even full and the pen clicked and clicked with no more drops of liquid. I even measured the jar empty and with the liquid and it wasnt even 6mL. Will continue to get because, as stated, this is the only thing that works. However, minus 2 stars for not getting a full 7mL and an occasional leaky pen. The click click click is ridiculous and we there's no way to know how much is left. Trying to upload videos of clicking and weighing.

My son has sucked his thumb since he was 4 months old when he is tired, upset, or bored. He is now 2.5, and the dentist suggested we get him to stop before 3 years old. I did a little research and decided to purchase this. By day 3 he was no longer sucking his thumb. I stopped applying it after 5 days. It has been 3 weeks and he’s still going strong. It does taste awful. I tried it so I would know what he’d be dealing with and quickly decided that water wouldn’t be enough. I kept an applesauce pouch on hand and when he would forget and suck his thumb, I would give him a bit of apple sauce and remind him that he can’t suck his thumb because it’s nasty. I had been avoiding this transition because I thought it would be such a long and painful one, but this product made it incredibly quick and simple.

Definitely works. This kid is very upset and on the verge of tears because he can’t stick his fingers in his mouth… /: kinda sad but it definitely tastes bad. I’d recommend it for sure.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and am really pleased with it so far! The taste is awful and sticks around even after washing my hands. I only need to apply it once a day and you can’t even tell there is anything on my nails. I tend to bite the skin around my nails as well and I have stopped doing that because the taste from the nails is unavoidable even when trying to bite around them.

I had tried so many things for my 6 years old to stop sucking her thumb at night ( dr thumb, thumb guard…) only this is working!

My son is a anxiety nail bitter and also special needs and we had tried everything else out there to help to stop biting and let me tell you this stuff works!!! Unfortunately I can not find it to buy it again so he has gone back to biting. I needed up getting some on my finger without knowing and yup definitely nasty tasting🤢
