The brushes are fine the range of sizes is good. There should be more than one set of the more popular sizes,

The kit came with 20 pair of motor brushes. I determined by measuring my existing worn-out vacuum cleaner motor brushes that I could use either1 of 2 pair of the 20 pair in the kit by modifying either pair to fit my vacuum motor. The pair I modified works very well in my vacuum. So i am very happy that I paid approximately $11 for this kit of 20 pair of brushes rather than $39 + shipping for 1 pair of the OEM brushes. Be sure that you measure the old brushes before buying this kit and that you know how to perform the final replacement. The kit is worthless if you do not know what you are doing!

I'm at that point in life that brushes are wearing out on tools I bought 15-20 years ago. You'll notice power loss, and active braking failing to work. Pop old brushes out, pop these in, back to work. Now if they had knees and elbows that replaced as easy as these, we'd really be on to something!

It was indeed great that it was placed on a plastic container however the carbon brush itself has low quality. I've used the biggest size of brush that I neede but the wire got disconnect fron the carbon before I could even install it on the motor. Ended up buying another set of different brand.

The set it came with was good, and the set did fit , for the price i think it was cheap. It as well is made with decent quality
