Story time. One evening I was home alone doing my normal nightly routine. Part of that routine is taking supplements before I go to bed. For whatever reason, my brain thought it was a good idea to speed the process and take all the supplements at once. Three of these pills were the extra-large fish oil capsules. Immediately, it went very very wrong. One or all got lodged in my throat sideways. I panicked because I couldn't breathe at all. Looking around for anything to help or try to figure out what to do. Nothing. I dropped to my knees on the floor and thought to myself - wow, this is the way I'm going to die... by fish oil. Pure terror. All of the sudden I gagged and it dislodged. I IMMEDIATELY researched the best device for choking. I'm not confident I could use the chair method on myself (obviously not what my brain went to first, anyway). Everything pointed to LifeVac Home Kit. I was still shaking as I hit "buy now". I read the instructions thoroughly and used the practice one on myself. It's now sitting right on my pantry shelf, easily accessible. (I actually took it on vacation with me as well). I am going to order another one for my car. The odds of it happening again- I realize are pretty slim, but just the security of this device in my home is so comforting. Side note *do not ever take more than one large fish oil capsule at a time

I purchased one of these as apart of a gift for a baby shower thinking that everyone with kids would want to know they have this option if it ever came down to that moment, that no one ever wants to experience in their life, especially with a child. My friend absolutely loved it, and many others complimented me on it seeing the value of it in the long run. Since, I have purchased one for our own home, and Camper to know I have that emergency back up if it was ever needed. I have yet to use it and of course pray I never do, but knowing I have that with me and have the device near by if it ever came down to it gives me peace of mind. I am certified in CPR and dealing with emergency situations and know how to handle a situation if I did no have this device, but I also know not everyone has that background. With that being said, I would recommend getting one of these. I also say get CPR certified and have that certification and experience to deal with real life emergency situations, but this is also a great additional tool to have just in case.

This is definitely a must buy! Great product, not only for the home but for when you’re traveling as well. Highly recommended I even buy them as gifts for people with little ones. Also, this is the perfect gift if you have an elderly person who lives alone that you know in my opinion as you can use this on yourself. Definitely an outstanding product. As a first responder, firefighter and healthcare worker I would highly recommend!

Bought two of these, one for the grandbabies and one for our own first aid kit at home. Love the security of knowing we have this in case of an emergency

While fortunately I've not needed to use the device, yet it appears to be easy to use. I just finished taking a BLS/CPR/First Aid class and a devise like this recommended. While there are other devices made LifeVac seems to be the most well-known. It comes with a practice mask, and a child and adult mask. I have practiced with the device and it's easy to use. I believe there offer several different models including one for travel.

Thankfully, we haven't had to use this yet, but it gives us such peace of mind knowing that we have it if something ever goes wrong. Definitely recommend every household getting one.

I’ve bought two of these and probably will continue to buy more! It’s so nice having something like this on hand and it’s a plus that it’s sooo easy to use!
