Old lady installed on FWD 2014 Kia Soul
Bought these a few years ago, but only recently had the need to use. Double-checked the size chart, too. I'm older (60+yo), and installed while in my garage. They are snug fitting, so you have to read the instructions, reviews, and watch videos for installation tips, otherwise they probably won't work. I took my time and installed one, which took about 15 minutes (remember, I'm old). After a rest and glass of wine I installed the other one, which also took about 15 minutes. They worked great in snow on top of a bed of thick ice, in a hilly area. No slips, slides, or wheel-spinning. No damage to the car, either. Drove a short distance on bare pavement on the main (plowed) road, but went slow even though people behind me weren't happy. I did not drive in the wheel ruts, but drove with my tires in the snow humps. As I get older I'm not sure I will be able to install these because the last hook is a bit tight and requires a little strength. However, I think I can get a neighbor to install these in my dry garage for a few bucks, and then I can scoot around in any snow conditions feeling safe and responsible. As for the quality, I'm skeptical that these may not last very long, but that is a premature statement. I may purchase another backup set, or carry some other device should the Peerless break while in use. Truthfully, I don't think I could install/uninstall out in the cold snow, so I'd have to call for help if they broke while driving.Overall, this old lady is pleased with the first use in rough weather.-----------------UPDATE: I contacted Peerless to see if there was a slightly larger chain that would have a bit more slack to make the connections easier. Unfortunately my tire is between sizes, so anything larger would provide too much slack so the chain would not be tight. Peerless customer service response was quick (1-day).I decided to keep the Peerless as a backup chain, and purchased another set from Les Schwab Tires called Quick Fit (Laclede Alpine Premiere brand). The Quick Fit has a more durable and adjustable connection system (not ratchets). They are a bit more expensive than the Peerless, but appear much more durable. Same diamond pattern, S-rated, etc. Check YouTube for the Les Schwab Quick Fit to see for yourself.

Seems like they will work well when needed
I purchased these chains after the chains I was using came apart while using them doing a snowstorm last December. Although I haven't used these chains in the snow yet (because it hasn't snowed where I live since then), I did test them and the automatic chain tightening system they use does works as advertised. These chains are the same quality as the chains I purchased from my local Les Schwab tire center back in 2009, yet they do come with s self-tightening ratchet system that's not offered by Les Schwab. Kinda hard to give these chains an accurate rating since I have yet to use them during a snowstorm, but I do know they were less expensive than the same type of chains I purchased from Les Schwab 13 years ago.

Works as advertised
Since multiple reviewers complained about the sizing for these, I triple-checked the size guide on both Amazon and the manufacturer's website to make sure these would fit my 215/50 RF17 run-flats. (My Mini Countryman owner's manual says to only put chains on 16-inch wheels, but these have the lowest clearance you can get and I had no issues with them.) After the chains arrived, I did a test install in my driveway to make sure they fit; once I got the hang of the installation process I knew the fit was ok.Just a few days after getting these chains, I drove over Donner Pass on I-80 in a huge snowstorm and, as expected, had to pull off to the shoulder and install them. I was glad I'd practiced beforehand because fumbling around in slush by the side of the freeway is not much fun! I got them on in 10 minutes or so, and they stayed on through some very nasty conditions; without them, I would not have made it home for Christmas. When it came time to remove the chains, they were perfectly intact despite my wheel wells being jam-packed with snow and ice. The removal process is quicker and easier than installation. To sum up: 1. Double-check the size guide before ordering 2. Do a practice install before your trip 3. Bring gloves, ideally waterproof ones, and a warm coat if there's any possibility you'll need to install these 4. Don't go over 30 mph with the chains on, and keep a safe distance between you and the cars around you

Clever design for easy installation
I plan to drive to Colorado this December and decided I should invest in snow chains for my car just in case I hit a lot of snow in the mountains. I ordered a set of these chains for my Toyota Corolla and just tried them on to be sure they fit correctly. Installation was quite simple. I recommend watching a YouTube video in addition to the installation instructions provided because the written instructions look a bit confusing. They were easy to install in about two minutes due to the clever design. The chains I ordered based on my tire size in the chart fit perfectly. My only concern is durability since some of the parts are made of plastic. Over-all, if these chains hold up well if I need them on my trip they will prove to be a great value.

An explanation to the reviews about not fitting
I thought I might have gotten a set that didn't fit my tires, which echo the other reviewers who said their's didn't work. But here's the thing: when you're putting these on with a lot of snow and ice around, you just have to dig out the tires and clear the debris really well to make them fit. I thought my set missed by about 3 inches, but once I broke out my shovel and cleared the area around the tire's contact points, I was able to wiggle them into place. Once I got the hang of them, they worked great! I used them on a FWD Equinox with a 1500+ lb trailer attached in more than a foot of snow and ice, and I went from not being able to pull out of my parking spot without to trailer attached, to being able to drive around comfortably WITH the trailer attached. These chains worked great, and I would buy them again.

best chains ever
used to use the old fashion chains that look like a ladder you stretch out on the ground and back up over. These chains are so fast to install and work well. I questioned how well they work being the links are smaller than the old style chains. I have used them on a work pickup and in deep snow had to keep the tires spinning to get up a snow covered dirt road had a huge rooster tail behind the truck of snow they never came off and got me thru 2 feet of snow ...2WD truck.... without any trouble. recommend them... and I don't store them in the bag they came in i keep them laid out flat in the back of my truck bed as if they tangle up it is really tough to get them untangled.

Decent tire chains
The sizing chart is not 100% correct. I have researched a great deal after i saw the review of wrong tire size chains and I did not use the chart in this listing. I used a Chart from another retailer that showed for my tires 215/55-17 that i need SKU 0155305, not the one that it shows in the listing. After i received my chains I did put on 1 chain and it fit perfectly. I have not tested the other one yet, but i assume it is the same. As for the chains themselves, they seem great if you get the correct chains for your tires. Easy installation. I have not tested them yet in snow, but the diamond pattern has a chain right in the middle of the tire to connect the diamond pattern which is great for sideway sliding. I think they are decent chains but time will tell.

Very misleading Size Chart
Very misleading Size Chart and unclear product description.First, the product description does not even state how many chains in a pack. The listing on Amazon.com (US) has clearly stated "2-pack", but it doesn't say it on amazon.ca. And I bought 4 pack and I end up need to return 2.Second, The Size chart is so wrong. My tire size is 225/40-18. According to the chart, I should use 154005. However, it's small. I stretched out the Auto-trac to the max length, and still missing a few inches in order to hook it up. I tested on my friend's car, and he is 16 inches wheel. He is easily install them in 5 mins. Obviously, there is nothing wrong with the chain itself but the size.I bought a few months ago, and I trusted the manufacturer information, so i didn't bother to try it right away until the winter hits. Now it's sitting in my garage and does nothing.

Fortunately, I was able to turn the steering wheel ...
Had a chance to use the chains this past weekend at the cottage. We have a steep hill to climb to get out and if no abrasives are applied (sand) even a plowed, our front wheel drive mini van has trouble getting up. I had done a dry run of these chains when I got them back in the fall, however, I still found myself trying to untangle and place them properly on the tire. The first wheel went on OK, however, when working on the second wheel, I had accidentally let rear steel cable fall behind the wheel before getting the top hook connected. This resulted in the hook to fall behind the tire and it got snagged around a screw of the brake mechanism. Fortunately, I was able to turn the steering wheel enough so that I could get my hand in behind to un-snag it. Note to self: Don't let that steel cable go until you've got the front cables attached!Once the chains were installed, it was like we upgraded to an All Wheel Drive vehicle! What a difference chains make! Driving with chains on public roads is not allowed where we live, so the chains came off pretty soon after the went on. They did get us out of a situation, but the hassle to put them on and take them off definitely needs to be considered. These chains are sold as quick install chains, but they still take time to put on and take off - so keep this in mind if you plan on using them for short periods as we did. I think our next car is going to be an AWD!

Be careful on tire size!
Biggest problem is the sizing on Amazon did not match up with sizing on the manufacturer web page. I went with the web page and the chains fit quite well. Fairly easy to install on a flat concrete floor. Have not had to use in real life but I think they should be not bad to install. The self tighting ratchets worked very well in my test fit. Looks like a good idea but no idea how it will work in actual usage.
