A useful test kit
As a relatively new hot tub owner one of the things I have had to learn about is water composition and safety. I use test strips to check the chlorine level and the ph level. These vials go a stage further and test a sample of water for three separate undesirable components. I found them simple to use (very good instructions) and the results told me that I had no cause for concern. There are two sets of three in this kit so each triple test costs around £16 (at the time of this review the set was £31.99) so each time you do test three it is relatively expensive. I have no real way of checking the accuracy of the kit so have to assume that the manufacturer knows what they are doing. Although it is a little pricey I think an occasional test for peace of mind will be very useful.

Gives false positives
This kit doesn't work. I bought 2 kits. With one of them I aimed to confirm an isolate that i had that i suspected was pseudomonas. Suspended the isolate in tap water and it was positive for pseudomonas, so all good, HOWEVER, it was also positive for coliformes (which is very unlikely, seeing it was a single isolate). Then I proceeded to do a negative control using JUST tap water with the second kit, turns out that got positive for pseudomonas before 24h! I live in the UK and our tap water has high standards so I very much doubt it has both pseudomonas and coliformes, more likely this kit is not working! :(

Great to be safe - But Expensive
We have a hot tub in our garden which has been used a fair bit this summer. We test each time before use and ensure we balance the chemicals as required. When i came across this product i was intrigued to test our spa water to see how if faired. The Kit that arrived is fairly simple - it consists of 6 plastic vials containing a dry chemical. There is a very detailed instruction leaflet guiding you through each test and how to read the results. Each vial needs to be filled with 5ml of spa/pool water and shaken. You then leave the vial to incubate for between 24-48hrs dependant on the test vial and the room temperature. At the end of the specified period you check each vial against the instruction leaflet to see if the colour has changed and if so what the potential danger levels are. The yellow vial tests for Coliform which is a type of bacteria found in faeces! Thank heavens our water was clear of this type of bacteria. The Green vial tests for Pseudomonas, which is a bacteria which can potentially cause pneumonia or lung problems. For most healthy people without lung issues this shouldn't be too much of a problem but people with a weak immune system should exercise caution. I was a little confused by our result here as the instructions advice if the water changes colour within minutes of mixing then it is likely a false positive. Ours changed to purple almost immediately when it should have been blue. Now, 48hrs later it is pink which is >1CFU/ml of this bacteria. Thus i am not sure if this result is accurate according to the instructions - no fault of the product apparently this can be caused by water chemicals. The Blue Vial tests for Total Bacteria, again our test turned immediately purple so going on the instructions this is likely to be a false positive as it should have gone blue. The purple colour has not changed over 48hrs period. To be on the safe side though with the green vial we are emptying, cleaning and refilling our hot tub! In summary i think these tests are very good - quick and easy with no complicated mixing or measuring. The price of them is super expensive for 2, this would work out to just under £16 per test! There is no way i could afford to use these tests regularly. And because i had two possible false positive this this makes the value for money even worse. I love the idea of this kind of test to keep my family safe, but wow are they expensive! I debated rating 4 stars (mainly due to the cost) however, taking into account i am unable to verify the accuracy of two out of 3 of the tests, i believe a 3 star rating is fair. I have included review pictures showing photo's taken immediately after adding the water to the vials and the 2nd photo 48hrs after incubation (Pink Vial Pic) I hope that you found my review helpful.

Great Kit to Have
This is a great kit to have and use with my hot tub. I like that it’s easy to use and the instructions are good too. The tests are easy to do and I feel the accuracy on the results is very good too. I’ve not had any issues with using it anyway. It’s value for money is good and I do recommend it. It’s given me peace of mind that my water is safe to use in my hot tub.

Easy to use testing kit for Hot Tub.
We have a Lazy-Spa so thought this would be a good thing to have to test the water regularly ensuring that it's safe for family to use. The tests are excellent value for money, and seem very thorough - the instructions provided with the test is easy to understand, providing an in-depth guide on how to test and read the results easily. There are two tests provided within the pack. Based on my experience using this product, I would say it's a must have for anyone with a pool or a hot tub - it provides additional re-assurance that the hot tub/water/pool is safe. I highly recommend this product and would consider using the AquaVial testing kits again in the future.

Perfect for the hot tub
This is great for testing the hot tub water to make sure the water is always safe for family use. Instructions are easy and straightforward to follow, so you know what each of the 3 vials are which are what they're testing for, which is really reassuring especially with the easy-to-read results chart. The price for a pack of two is reasonable and although i've only used the one so far it's worth it just for the peace of mind alone. 100% would recommend

Great for warning if water contaminated in pool.
We used this on our swimming pool after a storm and the pump had stopped working, it warned us that the water was contaminated. We emptied the pool scrubbed it down and disinfected refilled and everything was fine. If we hadn't used this kit and let the kids play in the pool they would have gotten ill so definitely worth getting for that reason alone. Great kit did think it was a little pricey but if it saves getting ill etc it's worth it.

Pool safety
This gave me some reassurance our pool was safe to swim in. I use chemicals in the pool as it’s always up but it goes long periods without being used. I used this kit to test our water after a long period of not being used. Peace of mind the pool floater we use is keeping the water clean

This swimming water test kit tests for things like bacteria and other harmful things your water can harbor. Most test kits do not test for these harmful bacteria's so this is good for once in awhile to make sure your water is on point. It is a bit expensive and only has 2 sets of tests in it so keep that in mind but it is great to test for these things at least once if not twice a year. The tests are easy to do and the reagents are already inside the tubes ready to go, you just need to add your water to it and shake. Results can take 24-48 hours which sucks as well but it is better to do it at home then to send water into a lab and analyze it that way.

I think the tests are way over priced and it only comes with the ability to test 2 times. Colors that's changed where pretty vague and still had to take a sample to my local pool store.
