Big and long lasting!
I can't believe that I'm saying this about an elk antler - but this seller is incredible! Four months ago we bought from this seller (after having bought from other sellers in the past), and the elk antler was easily an inch and a half bigger than the range listed on the package. Previous elk bones had only lasted two months for my Frenchie, but that one lasted four months! So of course I came back to buy from this seller again, and once again got a fantastic antler that was even bigger than the last. They will definitely be my go-to for elk antlers.

Perhaps not the best chew . . . .
My dog, Rufus loved the antler, will be chewing on it for some time. However I have had to edit my review, after a visit to the vet. My vet said, antlers are not the best for the dog's teeth. Rufus had a broken tooth, one of the big chewing teeth. Could have been from an earlier chew. . . .anyway now he has to have dental cleaning, x-ray to be certain the tooth root is OK. If it is, and the tooth will be covered with a sealant. . . . so just a warning. Pet owners might want a softer chew item.

Not messy, lasts a long time, and my dog LOVES them
Wonderful product. My chew-loving boy latched onto the antler as soon as I handed it to him. He then kept it with him almost all the time until it got too small and I had to take it away so he wouldn’t eat it whole, as the instructions said to do. It took him about five weeks to get to that point, though he worked on it every day. He would, upon occasion, let his beloved little sister gnaw on it, but he would watch her the whole time. I ordered another one for him when I saw the antler getting too short so he wouldn’t have to go long without. The seller sent me a nice email making sure I liked their product and advising me to clean off the antler when it wasn’t being used to keep the bacteria down. Nice recommendation but it didn’t apply to my situation since my big boy would take the antler with him everywhere he went.I found no crumbs or other messes left behind, and our dog beds, blankets, and toys got a reprieve from chewing destruction.I researched whether antlers are safe, and though some veterinarians mentioned broken teeth, I came to the conclusion from my research that so long as the dog is “chiseling“ the antler rather than chomping down, trying to break it in half, it seems to be a safe product. My dog was treating it the same as a sculptor does marble. So, I felt it was safe for him. I wouldn’t recommend it for older dogs who might have weaker teeth. Good thing my 15-year-old miniature dachshund wasn’t interested in it, not that he could have gotten it away from my big boy.All in all, I highly recommend this product. I suppose at some point I’ll quit re-ordering it, but I don’t know when that will be.

My dog loves these!
I have an aggressive chewer, one year old Aussie who was a horrible puppy and was trained through constant treats... and now she's fat. But she's also a much better dog. So, I bought these to see if we could start moving away from the constant feeding of treats and she absolutely loves them! I guess that speaks to flavor. My house is starting to look like a bone yard, but its totally worth it as Zelda is no longer eating the furniture, rugs, slippers, remote controls, rolls of toilet paper, boxes of Kleenex, blankets, a couple of cats, me, etc, etc, etc.

For the MOST powerful chewers!
We adopted a pretty young pitbull mix a few months ago who is a powerful chewer, and still chews like a teething puppy. He's only 25 pounds but solid muscle, including those muscular jaws! I seriously have not yet found any man made toy that he could not destroy with minimal effort, even Kong extreme and barkbox super chewer toys have failed the test. He's had this 2 months and with daily chewing (he loves it) and it has only ground it down, looks almost like someone took sandpaper to it. It never splinters or breaks. It's fantastic! I've heard others say their dogs have broken teeth on them, so I would be cautious if you have a senior dog or a dog with dental problems. No dog chew is one size fits all and you should always monitor when they are chewing!

My Dog’s Favorite Item
We’ve been giving our Old English sheepdogs antlers to chew for years. They last for months (far longer and safer than any bone could do) and provide hour upon hour of blissful chomping, especially a younger dog (well, make that our teenage sheepie) who seems to enjoy getting out her newest one and going at it many times a day. I was pleased that the one we received had some texture to it and was interestingly shaped (not just straight). She has about eight antlers, but this new one is her first choice every time. I’m delighted this was such a successful purchase because I’d been concerned that not picking out the antler myself (because of the quarantine) would end in a disappointing result. My fears were unfounded, and my doggie is in a state of such joy. I recommend this with all my heart.

Not a quality elk horn
My dog usually LOVES elk horns, but she does not like this one at all. She chewed it once and stopped shortly after. I put in on her bed with her every day but she wants nothing to do with it. It has a brown coating of some source - maybe natural, maybe not. This is not a normal elk horn. I do not recommend this item.I purchased a different brand of elk horn and my dog has not stopped chewing it.Something is wrong with this brand of elk horn. Do not buy

Great Chew
Great chew and 'pacifier' for my rescued Chiweenie pup. Clean, dry and no scent or smell. I liked the price compared to pet shops. Also liked that it is a naturally shed product. I give it with supervision then put it away, as my vet mentioned some dogs can lose a tooth during chewing. I purchased two of the same for my older dog, however both dogs like the same 'Y' shaped bone and not the straight one which is harder for both of them to grasp and hold. I wonder if the company could further separate and sort them not only by size/length but also by shape?
