I upgraded the 2011 Honda CRV battery and this is a great tiedown! It came with wingnuts & nuts to choose from, very sturdy, I recommend for the value of the price it’s worth the buy. Universal fit so definitely had no issues.

Inexpensive elegant solution for replacing old corroded battery auto tie downs. Have used a few different types over the years. This one is my favorite. Comes with everything needed to change out the old one. Love the red aluminum top strap. It’s the first thing I see when opening the hood and it raises the entire engine compartment to another level. Also good fit for the battery. Much more robust and sturdy than the OEM.

This worked well with the hardware included. Quality was good and it fit in my Subaru outback.

I recently replaced the 5 year old (still working) OEM Panasonic battery in my 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature with a new Optima Redtop (group 35) battery. When I replaced the battery, I also wanted to replace the hold-down bracket with something a little more "stylish." This battery hold-down bracket fit the bill perfectly. This battery hold-down bracket is exactly the same length as the original Mazda bracket so it fit the narrower group 35 Optima battery almost perfectly. There is a very slight gap between the Optima battery case and the protruding retainer rails on the bottom of this battery hold-down bracket, but once the bracket is tightened down the battery does not move at all in any direction. I used the OEM threaded J-hook rods, as the rods that come with this battery hold-down bracket are way too long for the Mazda battery tray, and I did not want to cut the rods (saved the rods for a later project?). I also used the wing-nuts (finger-tight), washers, and lock-washers, as to not over-tighten this battery hold-down bracket, and cause damage to the bracket or battery. This battery hold-down bracket also comes with regular 10mm hex nuts, but I did not use them or the orange shock absorber washers, as the orange washers just compress and don't allow this battery hold-down bracket to tighten down on the battery sufficiently. The red anodized color of this battery hold-down bracket looks great with the Optima Redtop battery, and it holds the battery firmly in place, with no movement at all in any direction. All of the necessary installation hardware is included with this battery hold-down bracket, but some if it may not be able to be used (or must be modified) for certain vehicle/battery models. There are even 2 black plastic thread-protectors included that go on top of the J-hook rod threads. These help to protect the threads from damage and the hands from scratches. Overall, I highly recommend this battery hold-down bracket. It looks great, and holds the battery firmly in place. The price is also very reasonable. However, just keep in mind that this is a "universal" battery hold-down bracket kit, and it may have to be modified to work in certain applications. Good luck!

Quality is awesome but the there is a design flaw as it doesn’t fit all types of car batteries. If your battery has raised caps on the top, this tie down may not fit between the two caps.

Nice quality battery brackets. The J rods are advertised as 1/4 x 20 but they are metric. Not a big deal, but I needed 1/4 x 20 for my application. But the cross members are low profile and worked perfectly for my project.
