I did not use this for anywhere in the kitchen but rather on my bathroom counter. We have well water and we started getting a lot of iron in our water so every time water was not wiped up after spills or hand washing the counter would get orange and after a few years it just got to damaged. So I bought this to cover the sink in the bad areas. It works like a charm and looks really nice on the sink. You would not even know it was there if you didn't look hard enough. It's easy to wipe down and no iron stains yet. But we did finally put a filter on our water pump to keep a lot of iron out. This mat is made very well and has a really good thickness to it, it looks great on the counter and will do great to cover any bad area you have too. It was pricey but well worth it to make my main bathroom counter look good.

This silicone mat is nice and thick, making it an excellent choice for kitchen, garden, craft room, and even garage use. It's heat resistance is great for kitchen counters, under a toaster or air fry oven. It's non-slip feature is great for both kitchen and crafting use, and its thick layer provides protection to your surfaces. I can even imagine it would be helpful in a hair salon, where the technicians can safely place their hot tools on.

Excellent product! I was looking for a mat to go under our hot stone warmers at our massage office, and this was perfect. No lines, lay flat the first time, no smell, cut easily and cleanly with a razor, and sufficiently thick to protect the wood under it from heat. A good looking mat. I'll be buying more of these.

I bought this because we had brand new quartz countertops put in just in time for the holidays. It is so beautiful and I want it to stay that way. The initial intention was to find something that protected it from christmas cookie prep and baking. I searched all the comments and it was hard to find the answer I was looking for to give me a solid answer. I ordered the 78.7 x 24 to cover a workstation on the island and cut it to size easily with a razor blade. It was the perfect solution. I rolled it out and my daughter and I went about the baking process as usual. Putting all the spatula's, measuring spoons after use on the mat without a worry. Afterwards, it was sooo easy to use a fresh dish rag with dish soap on it to wipe it down and then let it dry. Then, I just rolled it up and put it back in the box. I plan to bring it out for all my dinner meal preps. it's not a big deal and keeps it safe from food stains. I didn't use it to put heat on it. I had silicone trivets for that even on top of it just to be sure.I ended up ordering another one so the whole island is protected for times like this. I don't want it on there any other times than when I am meal prepping and then it rolls up super easy.

First I am trying to understand why reviews on here are talking about" placed in the oven" and it melted or caught fire. This may is for countertops, not ovens. Now the for the review...arrived it was perfect and fit just as it should. Super. Top had a beautiful sheen that was a plus!!! I decided I was not going to put anything hot on it without a towel or cloth may. Great move, he as resisident it states but I can will never know sticking to the plan. The one issue I had was the sheen disappeared. This was significant be because it really leveled it up! How? We'll I cleaned with regular soap and water. No dishwasher, bleach, cleaner, nothing aggressive, and then it happened. Smears were shown. Disappointed! I overcame by wiping with only water and a dish cloth. I don't have the high sheen, but those marks are mostly gone and no new ones. I love it but it should come a a matte finish. Durable, serves my purpose and yes I would but again.

I got this specifically to cover my workbench, that was my first large item. I did an epoxy resin top of and don’t want to ruin it. The extra large mat covers it beautifully and it looks awesome. It would look very good. On your dining room table or countertop. It helps me meet my job goal with a fast cleanup. And there was enough leftover to cover a small table. I found it to be well worth the expense and it trims easily with a good razor knife. Attached are two photos showing what my workbench is like underneath the cover

This worked so well under my countertop portable oven at Thanksgiving. I cut a piece to go under it and used the remainder to cover the quartz on the island so that all my hot dishes could be in one place for serving! I even put my hand under the edge to feel the counter underneath and it was room temp! Thrilled to find this.

It's a great product. I have a stainless steel toolbox I use for a BBq cart I laid this one top to protect the top and it worked and looks great. Got a compliment on the product from a guest

The silicone was as thick as described and hugged my quartz countertop really nicely. Highly recommended.
