SanDisk 1TB Portable SSD - Up to 520MB/s, USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 - SDSSDE30-1T00-G25

I’ve been using this 1 TB SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD in my studio for a while, and it’s been a game changer for managing large audio/video files on the go. What I liked: • Impressive transfer speeds — up to 1,050 MB/s read and 1,000 MB/s write make file transfers blazing fast.   • Durable build with IP65 water and dust resistance and 3 m drop protection—great for mobile, rugged use.  • Compact and lightweight (around 69 g), with a handy loop for attaching to bags—you can take it anywhere.  • Includes both USB-C to C cable and USB-C to A adapter, ensuring compatibility with various devices.  What could be improved: • Some newer models with USB4 offer superior speeds, but this SSD balances performance with portability.  Conclusion: If you need a portable, fast, and rugged SSD that’s perfect for transferring high-resolution media or game files in the studio or on location, the SanDisk Extreme 1 TB Portable SSD is a top-tier choice. Highly recommended for content creators, music producers, and gamers on the go.

Physical dimensions are tiny, no taller than a standard pen, as wide as two of my fingers put together. Enclosure is light, made from a hard plastic. Included cable appears to be a standard 1 foot long USB-A to USB-C cable. Actual drive size is expected, reading as 1.8 terabytes in Windows 11. CrystalDisk results posted below, connected to a USB 3.1 port directly into motherboard. Will update with any additional information/issues as I use. This, to me, is by far the best external or portable SSD out there as of now. I have tried many others and they either break down on me in a short period or they are just flimsy and made of cheap materials. This product is sturdy and robust and I have dropped it many times and it keeps ticking. I am glad that SanDisk decided to make a line of external SS drives that are catered to rough and "clumsy people" like myself since I am always on the go and this item gives me the confidence that I would not lose anything data or that it would just spontaneously break down on me like some others I have had. The built is SOLD and it doesn't feel delicate like the other external SSDs I have had. So far, I have purchased 5 of these SSDs from SanDisk (beginning 6 years ago) - and so far so good!

It's a handy portable backup storage due to the small size. speed seems adequate for me.

Love the size of this. Connects quickly! Storage volume works for my level of entertainment. Plug and play. Nice job San disk!

I own many of similar San drives and none have failed me unlike some other brands. For a long time I resisted high memory capacity units, but the reliabilty has beedn such that I now going beyond 1TB. Of course, still wise to have backups.

This drive is great, small, quick and good value
