Review: Good book - This was an excellent intro to resistance bands; however, I found some of the exercises highly unlikely to be used by seniors given as we age, we get bad backs, etc. A lot of these exercises are not friendly to older people. And, the format makes it hard to use as a guide. You can't just open the book and lay it flat and use it as a guide as you go thru the exercises. You have to let the band go, flip it open, find a way to keep it open, etc. I finally ended up tearing the pages out and making my own "book"

Must have for us seniors

Good book
This was an excellent intro to resistance bands; however, I found some of the exercises highly unlikely to be used by seniors given as we age, we get bad backs, etc. A lot of these exercises are not friendly to older people. And, the format makes it hard to use as a guide. You can't just open the book and lay it flat and use it as a guide as you go thru the exercises. You have to let the band go, flip it open, find a way to keep it open, etc. I finally ended up tearing the pages out and making my own "book"

This book is absolutely great.
Great book, it has many different sections dealing with warm up and targeting specific areas of concern. I got this from the library to help strengthen for golf and was ordering my on copy two days later. I love the variety of exercises so I am able to develop my own comfortable and task specific routine

Just what I was looking for
I was looking for a resistance band how-to for my mother, who is almost 80, because she said she'd like to start working out with weights or something similar. I didn't want her to hurt herself, so I thought resistance bands would be ideal, but many resistance band exercises would be a little strenuous for her. I took a chance on this book even though it had so few reviews (because it is new), and I'm so glad I did. I read through it myself before buying my mom a set of resistance bands, and it is very clearly written, helps you decide what equipment to buy and how to use it, and there are photographs for every exercise. The page quality is also quick thick and high quality. The only thing I would change is I probably would have increased the font size by a point or two for seniors, but I understand that would have been costly. I'm very excited to give my mother the book and the resistance bands; I think she'll love it!

Nice but not practical for all set ups
These are good exercises but so many of them require an anchor band, which I do not have and I don’t have a way to set one up even if I did. It would have been great if the author provided alternatives without an anchor band. Very frustrating and disappointing. I got the book to have a guide to follow rather than have to figure it out myself, only to have to figure it out myself anyway.

Im a senior and this book hit all the right muscles.
I am now 65 and I needed a better way to stay in shape at home. After reading tons of book reviews on resistant band workouts for seniors this is the one I chose. My wife and I both use this book and the results have been very good. The workouts are clearly explained with pictures of each exercise in use. One and done, I don’t need another book, this one will do just fine.

Shipping Concerns
The product is great and a bit beat up from the rough shipping experience- delivered via USPS w/ ripped, thin brown paper bag-type package. We can do better.

Comprehensive and well thought out
Spiral binding makes for much easier usage and is worth the extra cost. Exercises are well described. Comprehensive range of exercises.

Was what thought would be for home workouts

I'm over 70 and have now started regularly using resistant bands. They are excellent for us older folk who don't like going to gyms. I found this to be a great resource, with some good tips.

Simple well produced with color photography for each exercise. Valuable information on types of bands what each one does how and what to buy. I have started practising the exercises and am very pleased with the ease with which I am able to follow the instructions.
