No Battery Included!
It said everywhere that the battery was included. The box was unopened, however the battery compartment was empty. So no, this was not a take out of the box and immediately use. Insert frowny face and I took off a star for that blunder.But thankfully after several minutes of searching, I happened to have this type of battery around so I was able to use it eventually. Seems to work fine and was easy to use with good instructions. This is my first glucometer so I have no comparison, but I got a reading that was typical of what I get at the doctor's office.But I am still all angry face about that missing battery...

Reasonable price for a basic glucose monitor.
I am on vacation in the Philippines and I forgot to bring my glucose monitor. I bought one touch select plus simple blood glucose monitor. The price is lower by 12 dollars. It's a simple/basic monitor but it does the job for it's reasonable price.
