This is so easy to use! No more undercooked or overcooked sauteed chicken. Perfectly done steaks. The temperature registers quickly, and the backlighting makes it easy to read. And since it is magnetic, I keep it on the side of my fridge nearest the stove for quick access. Worth every penny.

I originally got this for my husband, cuz he was talking about getting one for some time. Well we both use it when cooking every meal! The value for the money is great. Its easy to use and accurate. We rely on this now when cooking any meat. Its easy to read as well with the light that comes on and when the light shuts off. Its helped cooking become easier and sometime quicker cuz now we're not over cooking food lol. Very helpful kitchen device! And it's magnetic to can stick it on the oven door or the fridge for easy access while cooking. Takes up no space at all.

Every kitchen needs a thermometer, and a digital thermometer is the way to go. The TempPro TP19H Digital Meat Thermometer is an excellent, affordable, and convenient kitchen thermometer. The magnetic back is really helpful, allowing the thermometer to be stuck to the front of the stove or dishwasher or range hood, keeping it conveniently handy for immediate use. This unit provides the temperature quickly, which is essential when probing meat on a BBQ where the heat is high, or probing something in a steaming hot pot. I tested the unit by probing slush ice water and boiling water, and the probe is pretty spot on with temperatures at these two extremes, suggesting the unit is robust over the entire readable range.

I broke my previous model of this device and I bought this to replace the broken one. It works okay, with a few nice upgrades: * The thingy comes on when you "open" the metal wand that you stick into the thing you're checking * The backlight comes on by default * It can withstand light cleaning (I wouldn't soak it in water, but you can quickly rinse it or wipe it down with a soapy sponge to get rid of any grease) The thing that I didn't like was that it felt "slow" when measuring a temperature. It could just be that I forget the speed of the previous version of this product. If you are measuring something hot in the oven, you will likely be uncomfortable at the heat while you wait for the probe to figure out the temperature. Temperature accuracy is good. It works well. It's "techy" looking and that's fine. But it's really easier to use than the design implies. The thermometer turns off automatically when you snap the probe back into place.

This thing is super handy. It is the best thermometer that I've ever had and it makes me trust my cooking for the first time. I keep it in the drawer next to the oven. It is instant when you open it up the screen comes on and you can either have the light on or just the digital version. And it is instant. When I deep fry chicken, if you just poke the side when you pull it out with a fork it instantly reads what temperature it is and is very accurate. The display is very easy to read and it is really bright. I'm definitely glad we purchased this. If I'm remembering correctly I think my girlfriend's dad had the same one and it prompted me to buy this one.

This is the 2nd one I have bought. I had the first one for over two years and it worked perfectly (grandkids broke it). Super easy to use and very accurate. Big lot up digital screen that’s easy to read.

Great thermometer! Works as it should. Way better than my old off-brand one. Its fast and the display inverts to the side that you are holding it which is a very cool feature. Screen is very nice and big and easy to see and its bright.

Changing my rating. I have ordered four of these, as they work great. One for home, one for cabin, one for my son and one for my mom. The last one quit working after one use. I contacted the seller and they replaced it. Customer service was great to deal with.
