It does have a volcano experiment. A few of the experiments: rainbow ice, color mixing, naked egg, fireworks in a flask, color changing celery, tie dye milk, sensory tube snow storm.

Does it come with the white lab coat shown in the photos? It's not listed, but it's prominently featured on the box, so my son will be expecting one.

There was no lab coat in the set I bought. The list from “this set includes” does not list a lab coat. You can purchase one separately.
