We feed our cat dry food in the AM, and wanted an auto-feeder so she wouldn’t associate us with breakfast and wake us up with meowing. We didn’t need wifi, cameras, or anything else that could break or malfunction or complicate things - just a feeder where we could set the time and the portion size, so this fit the bill. Pros: • It was easy to set up the clock and set schedules and portion sizes while following along with the manual. • I also like that pretty much every piece that touches the food can be washed including the container and the silo that pushes the food out. You have to wipe out the chute manually since it’s attached to the electronic part which is no big deal. • It runs without the batteries in, but I like the battery option for going away just in case the power ever went out when we weren’t home. • I unplugged it once to add a longer power cord and thought I would have to reset the whole program, but after about 20-30 seconds it automatically maintained what I had already set, which is nice. • Our cat isn’t a food fiend so hasn’t tried to break into it, but the twist lock on the top seems like it would prevent that pretty well. • One portion is about 1/8 cup of our kibble. The small 3L size holds a surprising amount of food and using the smallest portion size 2x per day, should last at least a month’s worth or more. • We’re transitioning our cat from the dry food she had at the shelter to one that’s a bit more high quality and using this has made it a breeze to transition slowly over the month - I simply added her old food at the bottom, a mix of the two in the middle, and the new food on top, so each day a little bit more of the new food gets mixed in. Cons: • It’s a little rough to take the container off the base, and twist the silo part off as well - I split a nail in the process! Someone with mobility issues or neuropathy would likely have a tough time. • Wish the cord was a little longer. It’s a bit under 5ft and I needed 6 to secure it along the wall and make it look nice where I wanted to place it, so I had to buy a longer one. It’s also a USB-C to USB-A cable which makes it bulkier where I need to plug it in. • Wish it had a “skip” or “hold” option. While learning our cat’s habits I sometimes manually dispensed a portion but would forget that the timed one was still coming, so she’d get extra. Misc/Overall: Didn’t use or need the recording feature, since our goal was to not have her associate us with food, so can’t speak to that. I bought a pack of desiccant packets from another brand which I’ll plan on swapping out once per month. I’d also recommend manually dispensing a portion or two the first time you fill it/whenever you refill it until the food comes out, because the first one came out empty - the food needs to make its way down the chute, and then it works fine. Overall we’ve only had this feeder for a short time but it seems to be functioning just fine.

The feeder works great, once you figure it out. I could not figure out how much one "portion" was when setting the automatic amount, and had to do a few trial and error to get the correct amount. The missing star is because the clock does not keep perfect time. It runs fast, and over the course of a few weeks will be minutes off. Also If your cats are like mine, they like to play with the power cord so just make sure it's securely attached so it doesn't fall out of the outlet and lose power without you realizing it. I refill it once a week for 2 cats who share the bowl. all the other features are fine, setting time and feeding times, amounts, etc is great and I never have to worry about feeding the cats dry food.

So far it works well (one week). I'm going on a trip in January and will be having Pele stop by to check on kitty while I'm gone. I wanted the food and water to be pretty well taken care of so all they have to do is check that the fountain and feeder appear to be on/working and make sure kitty seems healthy and give her some live and attention. She eats fine out of it and it's dispensing properly on schedule. I got a deal on a returned product, so mine was missing the manual. I had to look it up and programming was pretty easy after that. The model I have does not include wifi or camera. It's just a timed feeder that allows you to record a message that plays at feeding time. The 3L size is perfect for my cat and should easily get her through the 5 days I'll be gone.

Purchased this in July 2023 and it still works today! I only use it plugged in. Everything works perfectly and it can be taken apart to clean, although now there are some things I don't like: - the timer on mine seems to change time ever so little. I set all 3 food bowls (a voluas, this one, and an imipaw) to 6 am and 6 pm. This one is the only one that keeps getting quicker. As in this one gets to 6 am maybe 2-3 minutes earlier than the other 2, not at first, but over some time it would get earlier by a few seconds until it becomes a few mins and so on. Just a little annoying because i have to change it back every maybe few weeks or so to a few minutes backwards. - the inside parts stain easily, and the little brush with slits that push the food on mine is very very bent now. Other than that it still works perfectly. I probably would repurchase a voluas again over this one because that one works perfectly fine, is cheaper, and doesn't have the time issue, however this one is definitely way cuter haha. Oh one thing I do love is the twist top opening closing mechanism. It won't fail like my voluas lid and it keeps the food fresher for longer.

It has a huge tank and it can function unattended for a very long time. If you have enough litter boxes at home, or have a cat that takes care of its business outside, you can be away from home for a couple of weeks without worrying about starving cats. While you're at it, get a water fountain too. Your cats will love you for it.
