I generally don't split my soup stocks but since this pot had a divider I decided to pull 1 qt each of pork and chicken stock from the freezer. It worked great on my portable induction unit. Very good construction, no leaking between the divided sections because the divider is integrated into the pot. Non stick so easy clean up. We did use brass mesh baskets and they didn't seem to scratch the coating. I found it ridiculous that one person reviewed this pot negatively saying they put the handle to the lid on wrong. IF YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS you will read that it is shipped that way for protection and the buyer is suppose to put the handle on the correct side. This is so much easier than the charcoal fueled brass pots of my childhood although not so charming. At least now we won't get carbon monoxide poisoning or burn the dining room table and house down!

I contemplated for a while to buy this hot pot as it was very pricey for me, but it was totally worth it! We used it yesterday for the first time for Chinese New Year celebrations and it was awesome! Love the red color! Washing the pot was also super easy, I could immerse the whole pot into the sink with hot soapy water and cleaned it out easily!

At first, I wasn't sure if this was a gimmick or a real game-changer, who needs a pot with two chambers, but my partner's constant lovely-meant nagging finally convinced me to give it a try. And let me tell you, I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy it. Use as intended and this works very well. It is quite handy as well as you can make two dishes at once and have the convenience of them ready to serve taking up less space. It cleans easily by hand as I prefer to wash these separately and not in the dishwasher. This lid is proper fitting so it does not leak or rattle on the stove top.
