I purchased this bacteria supplement because I have a lot of trust in fluval and I needed to cycle a new filter for some messy puffers.Not only did this stuff take the ammonia down to 0 by day 2 it had the tank fully cycled in just five days! (Based on water tests)I’ve now used it on guppy breeder tanks with new media and with my shrimp.Zero issues with it negatively affecting anyone and it works like a charm!Over all this stuff is a 10/10 in my book. I will continue to purchase bottles to kick start new systems and to help during media changes.

I have had aquariums for over 50 years, have had ongoing problems with less than clear water, I have used this product for the last few years, I now use a submersed floss filter, I just remove the dirty floss and repack with new floss when flow gets low, and Fluval biological enhancer, and my water is always 100% absolutely crystal clear, with just my routine water changes to keep nitrates in check, and no clarifiers or other additives of any kind.

Value for the price with 2 large aquariums

Much cheaper than buying small bottles. Helped clear up the Koi pond.

I did use it when I crashed my cycle and was able to get back on easily.

After a 25% water change, waited 24 hours before reintroducing goldfish, the levels all looked great, hours later the 2 goldfish were dead :(I had also added the Fluval Bio Cleaner, so I don't know which, if either, were the cause. Instructions were followed, all the water readings were good, still ended up losing my fish.Aquariums can be hard to maintain. I've had years with no trouble and I've had random, sudden disasters. This review is simply that I tried a new brand of chemicals and the outcome was not good. Can I prove it was the chemicals? Nope. Will I use this brand again? Nope.

I’ve been use this for few years, and I have to say it never let me down. Working great and I trust it with my valued fish. Recently I’m redoing my fish room and some how stupid enough to try other brand on Amazon, what a waste- never work and waste my time. So I go back to Fluval Cycle again, two days, fix all my problem and the next day I put my fish there and they all happy.

I use this product when setting up a new aquarium (as part of the nitrogen cycle to promote healthy ammonia eating bacteria growth, a 6 to 8 week process) and as part of my weekly water changes. I feel that this product works very well, as my fish are all happy and healthy and I have never experienced any bad water quality issues (ammonia spikes etc).I use this weekly to add to my 200ltr, 60ltr and 30ltr aquariums when I do a water change. I change 20% - 30% of the water volume and add an appropriate dose of this stuff, however it's not really possible to overdose so it does not really matter if you add a little bit extra. I usually do add a bit more than stated on the label. I keep it stored at room temperature and the 2ltr bottle usually lasts me about 6 weeks.There is always a seal covering the opening after the lid has been unscrewed, so you know it is brand new and has not been opened / tampered with. This is safe for my fresh water aquarium inhabitants, of which I have many varieties.Pros: - The larger 2ltr bottle is excellent value compared to the 250ml or 500ml bottles - Quick delivery / repeat orders available - Far cheaper than my local pet storeCons: - Nothing I can think of reallyI hope this review has been helpful to you.Happy Fish Keeping!

Outstanding product. Look at the difference in my before and after pics (after 1 hour of treating). Easy to use set to a 4 as had to convert US gallons to uk litres after measuring my tiny tank. Used about 2ml so I've got years of use for the price. Used at same time with Fluval Quick Clear.
