These foam pads are great ! I’m seeing some reviews that these pads fall apart after one use . So far I have Buffed and Polished 15 cars with these pads and as you can see they have held up great ! Here are the reasons why they fall apart for some people 1. Too much compound or polish on the pads one of the benefits of foam they hold chemical so you don’t have to use so much chemical like wool pads ! 2. Getting too close to door jambs or sharp panels like wheel wells .. 3. Not cleaning them with the spray you get with the kit and a foam pad brush after every use a tooth brush will work if you don’t have one .. I hope this will help some people that have gave the bad reviews and people who are looking to buy .. final opinion the pads are great would order again along with the Chemical Guys products I have used Meguire’s , 3M products and Top shelf chemicals for yrs and Chemical Guys are up to the task as well ..

These pads were very effective in achieving the results I wanted. I had a pad I picked up at Harbor Freight and it was ok for what it was, but these pads are a whole other level. I read about these in a review for cheaper pads saying to just pick these up and don't cheap out. That worked out.

Spend a bit more for these. You get what you pay for when it comes to detailing pads.

Pretty great pads when they are new. They tend to wear down quickly even if you use detail spray to keep it lubed. I'd say you should expect to go through a pad per car or more often if using several passes like I did to get that perfect finish. The edges tend to fly off and tear apart and it will crack quickly. Also the center tends to heat up and cave inward. They work fantastic and are forgiving for beginners when new but once they wear out, they're done. There's better on the market for sure, but at this price point, these might be your best bet. I'd rather toss them out after one car than try to wash them to get all the old clearcoat out.

I purchased to use with a porter cable 7424xp My car has been regularly washed and hand waxed, and I’ve always thought it looked pretty good after a wax but this was first time I have machine waxed it (it’s a 2014 Passat). I washed and clayed, then used compound and polish and finished off with wax. removing each product and buffing by hand w a microfiber. This was a very lengthy process but I cannot even begin to describe how much better it looks, not a swirl mark left, might look better than when I bought it! As for the pads I have zero complaints they loaded well and held up great, I believe I could do many many more vehicles with no issues. The backing remains firmly attached and there is no sign of wear. The pad cleaner is AMAZING! Just a few sprays and rubbing by hand followed by a rinse with warm water and they look good as new!! I’ve never seen anything that rinsed wax off that well! Pictures show how well even the white pad looks after cleaning and how much of the cleaner was used for cleaning all three once.

The pads seem fine, but I cannot stress enough, how amazing this cleaner is. I've tried numerous cleaners, soaps, detergents etc. Nothing comes close to this stuff. I had all but given up on cleaning my various polishing pads, and was just wrapping them in plastic bags to stay moist. Not a good idea. Then I got this stuff. It cleaned the Chemical Guys pads that I had just used, effortlessly. No sticky residue on my hands or sink. I figured it must be the pads so I grabbed my "almost ready for the dung heap" coarse pad, and in minutes, with very little effort, it was pristine. I'm sold.

I bought these pads to try out because I could not find any size 6.5" 3M pads (that I have used in the past) and the Meguiars and Griots pads are expensive to buy in Canada. I was very impressed by the performance of the pads ... both during use as well as how easily they cleaned up after use. I used them on my Griots 6" polisher using 3M Perfect-It compound and polish. Pros: I found them to be great value for the money. They performed very well and held securely on the machine's backing plate. I have had some other products peel off during use. And, as mentioned previously, they cleaned up very easily after use. Cons: None to date. They appear to be a well built and durable product. I had not bought any Chemical Guys products previously. But, have now ordered a Cannon car wash foam gun unit based on my positive experience with these pads.

I received the pads but the cleaner is missing!!!
