Simple keyboard striking a good balance in size and functionality
Feels right on first use. I like the sturdiness from the metal plate. Button softness and travel are just right, to me they feel similar to early 2010's Thinkpad or HP elitebook keyboards. Not noisy either. Compactness is very well balanced, keypad is cut off which is a welcome idea but the rest of the keyboard is not compressed. This means your fingers have enough to find rest or the islands for the cursor keys etc. Since the layout is full-size for the core keys, no function duplication is happening, none of that Fn-key nonsense. Dedicated home/end, pgup pgdown keys may need some time getting used to again, coming back from mini keyboards. Don't expect extra function keys for suspending the machine, display manipulation or anything. Essential media keys only. In summary, just what I was looking for: a non-flashy, well-built non-mechanical wired keyboard. I hope it will last a long time.

Excellent non-mechanical keyboard
This is a great quality keyboard. It's silent, though not whisper quiet as it says on the tin! I generally prefer a mechanical keyboard. But this is the best non-mechanical keyboard I've used. And it's a lot quieter, so can be used whilst on zoom calls as well. Build quality is what you might expect from Cherry - it's good quality plastics used throughout. The keyboard is a nice size (though slightly bigger than my tkl mechanical keyboard) and reasonably weighted, so is a joy to use. Highly recommend if you're in the market for a keyboard that feels as good as a mechanical keyboard, but without the clacky sound.

After years of substandard keyboards, this is a well-engineered gem - but BEWARE OF CAPS BUTTON
I do a lot of writing. After years of Macs, I've gone back to the PC, so replaced the Mac keyboard layout with a Windows one. It's like the WIld West though, so finding a decent and relatively inexpensive one is tricky. I had a gaming PC for a bit, and a mechanical keyboard with RGB lights which lit up like an Xmas tree. But was cheap and plasticky in construction. One day I decided: enough is enough. After extensive searching, I found this keyboard and knew Cherry had a good reputation. I wanted a TKL (Ten KeyLess, i.e. smaller footprint) keyboard with a decent tactile response to key presses, not made of cheap plastic, and not so thin that it's like a trendy laptop keyboard (with very little travel for the keys). This is like a breath of fresh air. My typing is less clicky-clacky and less effort. It feels more ergonomic. The case is solid metal. From the first time I moved the legs down that it rests on (to provide a better angle for the wrists), I knew this was a quality keyboard: it feels resilient and well engineered. When I started typing it felt great under the fingers, and once I got used to the placement of the keys my typing speed improved. It has no fancy tricks or gimmicks, just a few extra media control keys at the top, it just does its job of typing really well. This keyboard will last for years and years, unlike my cheap plasticky e-waste predecessor keyboards. The only big issue I have with the keyboard is the size of the CAPS key and its placement. For some reason I keep accidentally hitting it while in full flow. I'll get used to it, but it'll take a while. This one is a keeper.

Solid and good to type on
I realise keyboards are very subjective, but to me this feels good to type on, in terms of pressure required and noise produced. It feels very solid and good quality, and doesn't slide around the desk. The case and keys have a fairly pronounced texture (not that obvious from the photos) which is distinctive and I suppose helps with typing. In terms of layout, it is usefully smaller than a full keyboard with number pad, without being cramped. For the price I would definitely recommend it.

It was a great keyboard???
In the beginning.... This Cherry keyboard was perfect in size and was very easy to type on. The compact nature of the keyboard is well suited for my wrists (CTS - carpal tunnel syndrome). The form factor of the keyboard helped with easing the effects of CTS. However 4 months on this keyboard has completely crapped itself. Buttons randomly stop responding, sometimes random letters or numbers come up when you press other keys. Keyboard randomly powers off.

Excellent compact work keyboard
Just what i was looking for. A solid, compact keyboard, with a wired connection, low profile keys and quiet typing. Having got used to (good quality) laptop keyboards for a number of years, a numpad is wasted on me, and just takes up desk space. Physical navigation, function and media keys are a huge bonus though. The key travel and noise from full profile mechanicals doesn't do it for me. This however is perfect in size, key travel and noise. I also wanted wired - bluetooth is pretty good now, but even the occasional mid-code writing drop out is enough to drive me nuts, so i'm sticking to wired. It feels solid, and likely to last a long time, but even on the slim chance it doesn't, its cheaper than a meal out, so can just be replaced. I use it mainly to write code and type, with some occasional gaming, and it does that very well. Overall, its excellent value for money, but it does obviously lack some features of (much) more expensive models, primarily, no backlight, and limited rollover. A previous review cited 6 key rollover. This is not correct - you can find 6 keys that will register at once, but not arbitrarily. Its actually 2 key rollover - you can't, for example, register presses on X,E,M as the same time. Usual gaming combinations are fine however, for example A,W,D,<SPACE>,<ENTER> will all register at the same time (5 keys), so will likely be fine for the vast majority of gamers. But if you have some crazy custom key bindings, this might not be the weapon for you!

Classic, no fuss
This keyboard is certainly a fairly unique piece of kit in that it's TKL, flat, quiet, incredibly well priced, and just doesn't have any of the traditional guff so many keyboards come with. The guff I'm talking about are things like the key everyone gets and noone wants, the Fn key. This keyboard doesn't have one nor should any. It has actual lights on the caps lock compared to being located elsewhere or just using a message on the screen. There's no special software to install or updates that 'optomize your experience' like with Logitech. It uses a cable which means there's no noisy Bluetooth signal degredation that'll affect it. I wanted a typing experience similar to what you get on the usb Mac keyboards from about ten years ago, but with a Windows layout, and still quiet and flat, and something that allows me to sit centrally with it and use a mouse not what feels like a mile away from the monitor. This keyboard gives me all of that.

Very good keyboard; No issues in 24 months of use.
After 24 months (used at least 5 days a week, 8h per day), works perfectly well, no issues. The labels on keys still as new.

Stuck keys after light use
Decent key action for typing and it's reasonably silent. However, I'm already getting stuck keys after a week of light use. It's only going to get worse from here.

Best cheap TKL keyboard
Really slim, typing is a breeze and the media keys are unintrusive. Will be my go-to keyboard from now on (replacing a cheap Logitech).
