Microplane Master Series Wood Handle Stainless Steel Zester Grater

Excellent product and beautifully made.

I realize this product is a little pricey compared to other competitors, but it's definitely worth it. First impressions is that it has an incredibly solid feel, it is very study construction and the wood on the handle feels wonderful. It's comfortable to hold and very easy to operate. It also comes with a nice little plastic shield that slides over the blades when not in use...safety first! As for function, holy cow this thing works fast! it's multiple times faster than the OXO that I have been using and that is no exaggeration. My main use for a Microplane is shredding parmesan, because let's be honest, if it's not freshly shredded parmesan it just isn't true parmesan...the taste difference is insane. Being able to quickly shred parmesan into the pasta salads that I love to make is important to me and this will suit me very well indeed. I've attached a photo of what the shredded cheese looks like in case anyone is curious what the end result looks like. After that little test, it took me 30 seconds to have it completely clean, so that's awesome as well. In summary: It looks super nice, it feels super nice and it functions spectacularly! It is a little expensive, but trust me you will not regret this purchase.

Wow, my zesting game just changed! I cannot believe the ease of this thing and what it yields. If you zest often, I would say this is a must have.

There's a reason chefs don't say greater they say microplane and the handle is beautiful.

Awesome tool Super sharp

Since we received the product, it doesn't really grate cheeses or anything well...but we decided since we already used it, let's just keep it. The tiny microplane blades that's supposed to grate cheese, they rise up to provide that space to grate foods, however, with each use, the blades have gotten lower and lower, to a point where it's flat, flushed with the whole metal plane itself, so it actually doesn't grate. I had to use a sharp metal item to push each blade up again so that it could grate for a few more months...and then just last month, after using it inefficiently for a few years, the metal plane detached from the frame, making it now unusable. I'd recommend you look for something else more sturdy and has sharp blades in the "microplane" so that it actually grates. It's not the worst product I've used, but it's not good! Get something else. This feels cheap, really thin metal plane and the wood is very light weight wood, really not worth almost $30. In my opinion, this should have been a $9.99 purchase with the quality being this low.

it looks like a fake, there is no box, the metal of the bezel is very thin. There is no inscription that it was made in the USA.

Very sharp and excellent quality. Says "made in USA " but in fact is made under license in China. Isn't everything these days? Credit where due though, this is a durable, well designed, easy to clean classy unit that works how it should. Very sharp, so watch those fingers.

This is a very nice looking gadget but it is better buy a box grater. Although it is very sharp I found it ackward to use. The form is better suited to the work shop than the kitchen. Would not ever, ever buy this again.
