My mares walking has improved since being on this product. I've used it before, but stopped for awhile. I can definitely see a difference when she is not taking it.

Works wonders for my girl. My mare is young but we jump so I wanted to give her some support. She loves this and it's easy to feed. No problems with the taste, and pellets make it easy to mix in grain. I trust Smartpak supplements and have been using them for years. MSM is a great option for horses to have a little extra support in this cold weather.

This product is labeled as a 56 day supply for one horse. It's more like a 35 day supply. I fed my mare one scoop (included in the container) as recommended on the label once a day. And it's nearly gone already. As far as the quality of the product, it seemed to work OK. I started my mare on it because she had a mild tendon injury and stiffness in her back end. So I can't really honestly say if it helped since I am not able to ride her at the moment. I'm giving the 3 stars because it didn't last as long as the description said it should.

I’ve tried using a magnesium supplement, and a l-tryptophan supplement separately and this SmartPak had a blend of tryp and other aminos, so I was curious to compare. At the time of use, I eliminated all other calming products and just used this for a month. I did feel like I noticed a difference in his demeanor compared to just magnesium or just the L-Try. He wasn’t as triggered at night by trying to “watch over his herd” than when I didn’t have him on any calming supplement. However, to date, the supplement that has had the most calming effect for him is Quiessence. I do definitely feel this product is a good option for someone wanting some calming changes, but I think that a product with the addition of magnesium for my horse had a greater calming effect than the SmartCalm.

My mare is older (almost 30) and is getting a little stiff. I wanted a little something extra to help her going into winter so was happy to have the opportunity to try this. I've used SmartPak products for years and have found them to all be excellent quality. These MSM pellets are no exception. It's a relatively small serving size so the jar will last a while. She eats them readily. I don't love the jar that has to be unscrewed each time, so I transferred the contents to a different container with a flip-top lid. At least they sent a scoop with a handle that's long enough to reach the bottom.

Really surprised. Our horse has been on MSM powder for a few years now. Mixing the powder with the feed was hit and miss as our horse would sometimes pick around it and always not get the full supplement. She likes these pellets much more and all the MSM pellets are ingested with her nightly feeding. As far as MSM goes, the effects and benefits with these pellets seem the same as the powder, so we're just happy it is easier on us (and the horse too). Give them a try if you give MSM to your horse.
