ThinOptics unisex-adult Universal Pod Case + Rectangular Reading Glasses

Lightweight, super portable, sort of comfortable for extended use. I have these in both 1.0x (for computer) and 1.5x (for reading) strengths and they do the basic job well: visibility up/down+side/side is OK and clarity is acceptable. I have progressive lens glasses (prescription) which have a wider field of view and more of an invisible presence due to having slightly wider lenses, but the Thinoptics are still fine for daily use even though I can easily see and detect the frame. These stay reasonably well on the bridge of your nose, but I would recommend you pull them apart before placing them on - or taking them off - your nose because they rely on an abrasive surface to help stay in place: if you scrape that surface on your skin by trying to slide the glasses on or pull them off, your skin will start to get tender and you'll want to avoid these glasses until that area heals up a bit. Their case is neat in that you put in one end first and then slightly bend them in the middle to fit the other end inside, then push the glasses fully down to protect them completely. You can toss the case in a glove compartment or backpack without stuff getting into the tight case and damaging the lenses, I've noticed. I recommend putting the case somewhere convenient, because this way you avoid placing the glasses down somewhere that they might get scratched through always placing them back in the case. At my computer desk, I have a Thinoptics case adhered to the edge of a shelf holding my monitor, just above the keyboard - my glasses go back in the case whenever I leave the desk, not on a table top or similar. However, the few times I've left these glasses on a horizontal surface and not placed them in the case, they haven't gotten damaged: the frame is thicker than the lenses, so they don't get scratched when the glasses are laying on a flat surface. These are good for reading books or laptop work, desktop computer monitors and jobs around the house which require some magnification - though, if you are sweating too much, these will get a bit slippery at times and need readjustment. The abrasive nose piece helps to keep the glasses on your nose even when sweating, but they can still slip off if not careful in that situation. They are very lightweight and clamping pressure is acceptable, though noticeable. You get used to it but that feeling of my nose bridge being grabbed doesn't really go fully away while they are on. Overall, these have been an improvement for my situation, because I have nerve issues near one ear and can't wear glasses with arms for very long - as a substitute to regular glasses, these are doing the job for me. I tend to take them on/off during the day to give my nose bridge a chance to relax from the abrasive surface and it has never gotten very bad.

OMG!! I love them.. I do a lot of computer work/photography editing and the bridge of my nose would hurt from my reading glasses. These are super comfy, you forget your wearing them! I wasn't sure which to get since i normally use 1.25+. I got the 1.00+ and they work PERFECTLY. I was afraid the 1.50+ would be too strong and since i wear them for long periods of time, i would strain my eyes. I love that i can pop them into my pockets to take for dinner too ( I live in the city and try not to carry a purse). Again, so liberating .. love them!

Looks good on my face and does the job well. At first, I did not like the fit. It felt loose on the bridge of my nose. The customer service rep had me open it with both hands and then mindfully set it on my nose. That did seem to improve the fit. I think the biggest selling point here is that it is attached to the back of my smartphone (which is in turn attached to my hands), so I won't get caught with a menu that I cannot read. In other words, if reading glasses make you feel old and you are not so enthusiastic about wearing them on your head or around your neck, this offers a nice way to have you "cheaters" nearby at all times. Great buy, price is fine.

Great product idea. Use them for a while. They seem to have "improved" the case. The nose resting pieces are breaking off easily. It seems that some strengthening post added in the middle of the case. It used to be very easy to push glasses into the case. Now, you need to spend time wiggling glasses to make it fit and potentially breaking the bridge.

If you only need occasionally to read fine print these work fine and since they fit so well on back of my cellphone hardly noticeable.the hard shell is a plus, Ive used the softer shell stretches out of shape and loosely fit vs theses stay snug.

Disappointed in the quality. They are super thin and not durable. Unfortunately not worth the cost.

I like these glasses. It's a cute concept. More than I wanted to pay. The bridge of the glasses has sharp stair-like grippers that rip my skin and leave facia marks. Padding in this area should be invented. To use these effectively one needs to be sitting down and not moving around. Walking for instance, with them on will result in them falling off and hiting the floor.

These work but would not stay in my nose. I think it would be better if it had better nose pads maybe a different material. Sad but I will keep them because the fit in my wallet and I just have to hold them up when using

This are good glasses but very delicate to handle. Can acquire scratches very easily. So, handle with care

Muy prácticos para usarlos de vez en cuando en restaurantes para ver el menú o en el súper para ver etiquetas. Sin embargo he encontrado dos desventajas. Una es que al pegarlos a la funda del celular se aumenta el grosor y no queda bien en los soportes de manos libres del coche, deberían señalar la mejor altura para pegarlos en la funda. Dos, se me ha caído un par de veces el celular al piso y se rompieron de la parte que une ambos lentes, es decir de la parte que queda al descubierto de la funda que los guarda. Son muy ligeros y cuando están fuera de su funda creo que difícilmente se rompen al caer pero dentro de la funda son más sensibles a caídas. Quizás el material de unión pudiera cambiarse o la funda protectora tener una forma que dicha unión que está al descubierto haga menos contacto en caso de caer. Gracias!
