Where has this been all my life?
Where has this been all my life? A much much better alternative to nasty electrical tape. Easy to use, holds well, looks OEM and doesn't leave a mess when removed. I purchased this for making wiring harnesses and now I use it for everything. The matt finish looks so much better than shiny black or other tape colors. I even use it hide gaps when installing car stereo equipment (it also stops rattles if you wrap the equipment before you install it).

Tough stuff
I've used a lot of Tesa 51608 tape and got some of this 51036 for where I wanted more abrasion resistance. For those wondering what the difference is between this 51036 and the 51608, 51036 is stickier, tougher, not "fluffy", and can't be torn by hand. 51036 has pretty much zero stretch. 51608 is handier to use since you don't need a sharp knife or scissors to cut. 51608 also has a little stretch making it easier to neatly bundle cables. 51608 has less stick than the 51036. It sticks well to itself but not so well to other materials. Probably ideal for a cable loom tape. Both are great tapes, but each has their place. Also - a warning - watch out for some vendors selling similar description (not Tesa) tape at a reduced price. I tried some of it and it was pure junk. Wouldn't stick to anything. BTW, this vendor - Prime Ave - is good to deal with. Answered questions I had promptly.

Great tape for wire harness organization
Saw videos on YouTube with this tape being used for wire harnesses , I have an Acura tl type S that I’m fixing up (project car) and this is perfect for re doing and organizing the wires in the engine bay . Would buy again!

Cloth tape high heat
Stuff is awesome, looks like it belongs there , isn’t all gummy like electrical tape.

Works ok.
Both roles arrived in an oval shape instead of a round shape. My guess is it got warm and was smashed a little. I used a little and it seems to be OK.

Excelente material, se nota que soporta roce. Mejora la envoltura original de cableado de hace 30 años, se hace un poco mas rigida pero me vino muy bien.
