The Prime CD Radio is a fantastic piece of equipment. More expensive than most of it's competitors but you get what you pay for. No more listening to the tin-drum tone of cheap alternatives with that fuzzy buzz when turned up loud. This Prime unit generates crystal clear sound and ear drum shattering tone when played at maximum volume. Easy to operate, looks attractive, a pleasure to listen to and well worth the money.

The Pure Evoke Home looks good and the performance is great with an extensive range of radio stations available via internet, so no signal fading. Set up is straightforward with a remote control unit provided to search through the menu options available to the unit. For me, the inclusion of a CD player was a decider when purchasing and the sound quality is excellent. The day/date/clock display can be folded down as required and being a mains operated unit was also what I was looking for. Quality and value? I now have 3 of these units in rooms throughout my home.

Wow! Fabulous sound , excellent bass and so sleek and unobtrusive. Good choice I'm very happy with this.

Planet Rock and CD's sound fantastic. Better than my dedicated NAD hi-fi system. Just a couple of niggles - The clock is an hour out. I set it to the correct time, then it resets itself again. The date is also sometimes a day out. The other thing is the mute button is part of the power off button. I have found I have muted first, then turned off. When switched on next time there is no sound, because it remembered the previous mute. Not tried the alarm, but given the date/time/mute problem, I would not trust it. Still a great purchase though.

This is the second system I have bought, for another room, so hopefully that says enough of what I think of this. A great all-in-one, with excellent sound quality, albeit slightly too much bass for some types of music - but can be adjusted. Straightforward set-up steps and easy to customise for radio station favourites.

Bought as an Amazon 'Used - like new' product at a small discount ..... a bit worried that there may be something amiss - but all good. The box and contents were all seemingly unopened and everything worked immediately! CD's sound very good, radio tone is superb, attachment to home wifi and Bluetooth connection to my phone were immediate. Like all purchases, the choices on offer can be bewildering? I wanted a good DAB radio with the option of streaming music/podcast from my phone, a CD player for a collection of (mainly older) compact discs and an alarm/sleep function. The overall appearance, was less important to me - but the Evoke Home looks splendid sat on the bedside table! It is the quality of the sound, however, that really stands out for me. The UNDOK app enables some 'tweaking' with treble and bass sliders - but I found that the tone of the Evoke Home was largely right for my ears from the outset. There are many reviewers who comment on 'soundstages and musicality' ...... I know nothing of these ..... but I do know that for older ears which may have slight 'faults' (I cannot hear many higher pitched sounds in my left ear) the Evoke Home is a delight. I listen to a mix of classical, ambient, jazz, soul and Radio 4 podcasts and have found that all sound is clear and balanced. I have tested (but not spent much time on) the internet abilities of the Evoke Home and found that you can indeed listen in to almost any country in the world. I am very happy with the purchase!

Considering I have 2 Pure Evoke Play internet radios & the sound quality is excellent, naturally expected their bigger brother would be even better, NO not the case. Sound quality was disappointing, I was even more disappointed when I had to pay £20.75 at the post Office to return it to Peter Tyson ! Never buy anything else unless it's delivered by Amazon & it's put me right off the seller.

The item is great, so 5 stars for that, however contrary to what was said for the delivery, the package was not left in a secure location and as we were expecting the delivery on Friday the 5th Dec, no one was in to receive it. So it was visible to the world and not secure. Luckily, all was OK.
