I have a few other, cheaper G-shocks in the $80 - $160US range, which are also Tough Solar + Multiband 6, but I wanted one final G-shock that was ultra rugged with a few more functions, and this watch fit my needs perfectly without going into the $1,000 range for a MT-G or MR-G model. $665US here is about the best price I've seen. In addition to top-notch ruggedness from the Mudmaster line, you get a sapphire crystal, plus the compass, baro, alt, temp, water resistance. All these functions, plus the crucial Multiband6 + Tough Solar makes this watch about the best quality/functionality bang for the buck from Casio. It's comfortable on the wrist and not too thick or heavy. Battery came with medium "M" charge, but leaving it near the window in direct sun for a few hours kicked the battery up into High "H" on the LCD screen. Multiband6 sync worked just fine by the window overnight and you can quickly move through the modes to see when the last successful sync took place (date/time). Cons: Every once in a while it pulls on my arm hair. The LCD isn't easy to read indoors in low light. The lume on the hands and indices doesn't appear to last as long as my other automatics with C3 Superluminova. Pros: Supremely rugged and amazing looks in person. Sapphire crystal is clear and noticeably different than lower G-shocks. LED light clearly lights the whole face. Build quality is very high, many features.

No hay nada que no me gusto de mi reloj. Es excelente, en forma y funcionalidad. El diseño es soberbio. No me lo quito para nada. Muy cómodo. Y muy exacto. Con este reloj, se me olvidó el problema de cambiarle baterías.

So I hate anything that needs to be charged, set or fussed with. This watch looks great is always exactly set to the time and it charges itself with the sun. No winding no setting no charging, it just works and it is the perfect watch for me. Did I say it looks great? Update: After having this watch for a year I absolutely would buy it again. No fussing with time settings or winding and always perfectly to the second on time. I would buy this watch again. I have many watches but this one gets worn 99% of the time. UPDATE after wearing this watch daily for two years now I have to say this is the best daily wear watch I have ever bought. I don’t have to wind it, charge it or even set the time. It’s always perfectly set since it updates itself nightly. It’s tough, I wear it when working in the yard and in the garage and never worry about it. If I lost this watch somehow I would buy it again but it never comes off my wrist so that’s not gonna happen. Update I have been wearing this watch daily for almost three years. Outstanding time piece not one single issue it runs like a tank. This is one of the best watches I have ever had.

Does everything I want and none of the things I don't. Amazing watch.
