Because Chilvary Really Isn't Dead
I bought this as a thank you gift for someone who installed a headlight for me, thus saving me the trouble and expense of going to a mechanic. He does a lot of DIY projects on both his home and cars out of necessity ( he and his wife are old fashioned in that they decided she would be a stay-at-home mom). He used a little tool like this that I keep in my car to install the light and commented he once had a similar tool that he loved but it had been misplaced or someone permanently "borrowed" it -- in any case, he didn't have it anymore. He has used all of the little tools and says they work well and seem as if they will hold up well over time. He is very satisfied with the quality and loves the convenience of being able to keep it in his pocket at all times so it is readily available if he needs it. I am planning on buying another one or one very similar to it to keep in my tote bag. I want to research similar ones to decide if I want one with more and/or different tools. I at least know this company makes a quality product and will begin my search with them.

Nice Little Tool
This is a great multi-tool. The hinges seem sturdy after opening and closing them. They are not too tight to get them open and they are not loose enough that everything falls open. I keep this tool in the car. I don't have enough space for an entire tool box but this has just enough that between it and a roll of duct tape I should be okay in the face of a minor disaster. It would be a great tool to carry in your pocket if you were going to be out and knew you might need some tools. It fits in the pockets of my jeans easily, even the stupidly small pockets they insist on putting on some women's jeans. They only downside is that it is a little heavy for carrying in my pocket on a daily basis.

Very nice multi-tool!
Ever since the first Leatherman multi-tool came out, I've been a huge fan of multi-tools in general. We used to be issued them in the military, and they were extremely useful. When I saw this Swiss+Tech tool I was very intrigued, the amount of tools, the price, and the profile being so flat, made me eager to try it out. After receiving it, it didn't take me long to realize this tool is mainly a driver. The main tools on this are the six screw drivers, the three Allen head drivers, a small hand drill, and the pliers. Also something that didn't occur to me when I ordered it, there's no knife. Although, there's 22 very useful tools, which include wire cutters, crimpers, 1/4" and 7/16" nut wrenches, rulers, bottle opener, among others. As for not having a knife, I carry a knife anyways, and the knives I carry do what knives are supposed to do much better than any multi-tool knife blade. So for me it's not an issue. The carry ability of this tool is refreshing. It's flat, it fits in a pocket very nicely, and it's not too heavy. If you don't have any pocket space anywhere, you can unfold the tool and clamp the pliers around a strap on a backpack, fold it back down and it won't be falling off until you unfold it. The tools all work fine, and the metal is strong enough that you can put a fair amount of torque on the tools and nothing bends or breaks. The pliers work really good, but when you're clamping the pliers down, squeeze evenly. If you torque the handles as you're squeezing, the handle arms tend to move out of alignment. I found that I can bear down and get more clamping pressure than my Leatherman pliers, so now I carry this with my leatherman. Very useful tool, I'm very happy with it.

TSA let me take this in carry-on
I bought this primarily because you see it mixed in with the "TSA Compliant" multi-tools. My wife and I took an Alaska Cruise, and at one TSA check point the bag that was holding the multi-tool got called out. The guy pulled it out of the bag and asked what it was, and I told him "multi-tool, no knife, no scissors". He took it to show it to somebody else and fairly quickly brought it back and dropped it back in my bag, commenting something like 'good job, you did your homework'. My Leatherman multi-tools were in checked baggage and there were no problems with those. Since I usually do some photography from inside the plane(s) having a multi-tool around just in the event something gets stuck or whatever is always a good idea. I should say that I have read that there is no guarantee that an overzealous TSA person might not confiscate one of these anyway, but they do have "rules" posted on their website about multi-tools. Best way to go was to follow the rules and maybe even do a bit better. As for the tool itself, stuff does work and while I'd rather be using my Leatherman tools getting *something* on the plane *with me* is a bit more important.

First 3 star I've ever given.
It just seemed perfect. Just not quite up to the task - steel is too soft. Not really a bugout item. Good enough for that drawer of stuff we all have.

Don't expect much...
I travel alot and really like the idea of a multi tool without a knife so i can carry it on the plane. And this fits the bill perfectly. Unfortunately it is very cheaply made (ergo not expensive) and the tools are marginal. Philips head screw driver is already showing wear and isn't a tight fit. I expect flathead screw drivers will show wear soon. The metal is simply soft and the mfg process is, well, cheap. This is a far cry from the quality of any of the big name multi tools. Sure, they don't charge you a lot, but i am starting to think that even $15 is too much... i will not be buying this again after it breaks which will likely happen before i lose it... :)

It looked used not polished at all. The kind I can get from hardware store. The name Swiss+Tech ST53130 Pocket Multi-Tool Kit is very misleading. Non of my Swiss pocket knives and accessories has this poor quality.

Pas encore eu l'utilité mais c'est un concentré de petits outils dont on a toujours besoin. Ça a l'air super solide. Ce truc est vraiment ingénieux! Par contre, à ne pas mettre en porte-clés, c'est bien trop lourd!
